    Mother is the first teacher

The statement "Mother is the first teacher" highlights the influential role that mothers play in their children's lives. Mothers often have the most significant impact on a child's early development, as they are typically the primary caregivers during the formative years. During this time, children observe, learn from, and interact closely with their mothers, which can shape their attitudes, behaviors, and thoughts in various ways.
Here are a few ways in which a mother's attitude can impact a child:
Learning and Education: Mothers are often responsible for introducing their children to the world of learning. From teaching basic skills like language, reading, and counting to nurturing curiosity and a love for learning, mothers can greatly influence a child's intellectual development.
Emotional Development: Mothers provide emotional support, comfort, and security to their children. How a mother expresses and manages her own emotions can significantly impact how a child learns to understand and regulate their own emotions.
Social Skills and Behavior: Mothers play a vital role in teaching children about appropriate social behaviors, manners, and values. Through their interactions, mothers model behavior, teach social skills, and impart important moral and ethical values.
Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem: A mother's attitude towards her child can greatly impact their self-confidence and self-esteem. Positive and supportive interactions can instill a sense of worth, confidence, and belief in oneself.
Gender Roles and Identity: Mothers also play a crucial role in shaping a child's understanding of gender roles and identity. Their attitudes towards gender equality, stereotypes, and societal expectations can influence a child's perception of themselves and others, as well as their understanding of gender norms.
While mothers are indeed significant influencers, it's important to recognize that other caregivers, family members, teachers, and the broader environment also play crucial roles in a child's development.

The author is right that the mothers are the best teachers and even the kids would like to get their lessons from their mothers only. Once they come from schools, they do have a lot of questions related to lessons and the get their doubts clarified by their mothers only because of the emotional attachments of the kids. No one can take the roles of the mothers in this respect.
While the learning process starts, mothers ensure that the child picks up the lessons in the calm atmosphere and the mothers only know how they can develop interest towards studies with their proximities of relationships. There are no anger words, no threatening, no warning even but the guidance continues in a congenial atmosphere.
The bond between the child and mother is unparalleled where duo understand their roles.

Mother is a relation to a human given as a boon to him or her by the God. She is the one and most important person to a person in his/her life.
On this occasion our Tamil Nadu Governor expressed his view on the value of Mother that 'Without mother's blessings one cannot reach any height in our life.'
In one Tamil Cinema there is a song, 'entha kuzhanthaiyum nalla kuzhanthai thaan mannil pirakkaiyile athu nallavaraavathum theeyavaraavathum annai valarkkaiyile' which means "all children are good when born but developed as Good or Bad only on the care of Mother"
That is why it has been stated as 'Matha Pitha Guru Deivam' by keeping mother as first. Here the explanation given as, Mother is showing father, father showing a Guru and through Guru one can realize the God'. Here mother is the first person to pave our life.

When a baby is born it remains near its mother all the time and slowly starts recognizing her. During that time the baby tries to learn some words and sounds from her mother only. The child also tries to mimic her mother in various ways. It is a natural bond and the child follows it in an obvious way. It is true that during those early years, the mother is the only teacher of the child.
    Knowledge is power.

During our lifetime, our association with our mother will be more by 9 months than our age. That means our contact with our Mother will start before we come onto this earth. Our mother will carry us with her keeping us safe so that we will grow and come on to this earth as hale and healthy people. So there is no exaggeration in stating that Mother is our first teacher on this earth. A baby will be with her mother for longer hours and the baby observes her mother very closely. Learns from her behaviour. That is why Mother is our toli guru. That is why many people ask us the names of our parents when we get introduced to them for the first time. Such people will try to understand us by knowing about our parents. A child will see and practice what he saw. So parents should practice all good habits so that children also will start following those habits. So alone teaching them is notficient. A teacher should practice whatever he teaches. Same is the case with his/ her mother also.
