Eligibility for JEE Advanced as a fresh candidate after exhausting earlier attempts

Hello! I'm a 2022 passout with 91 percent in class 12 boards. I've exhausted my jee advanced attempts as of 2023 june. If I write class 12 again through NIOS, can I give jee mains and jee advanced 2024 specifically? Please specify the procedure to appear as a fresh candidate for jee advanced 2024 in detail? Do I have to write class 10 NIOS too? NOTE:This is strictly w.r.t. 2023 jee mains and jee advanced eligibility criteria.

A candidate can appear in JEE Advanced exam only two attempts in two consecutive years. If you have exhausted that then doing class 12 again in any mode would not help because you have alredy exhausted the quota of attempts allowed to you as an individual.

I suggest you go to the NTA site and see the details there so that you will have first-hand information with you. If you are not getting the required information on the site, you can contact the concerned by sending an email to them. The contact details will be available on the site.
As far as my knowledge goes if you pass your 12th again through NIOS, you will get two additional years including the year in which you pass your 12th through NIOS. But authentic information can be obtained from their site only or through their concerned representative.

I don't think that you will get any weightage in terms of time by passing out NIOS examination. According to the existing rule, the aspirants will get two consecutive years for clearing JEE Advanced and if the duration is exhausted due to their unsuccessful attempts, the students cannot claim for additional timings for clearing the same even though they are going through the routs of NIOS.
Their past history will be clear due to the computerised process of maintaining records of the students and once the authorities click on the names, the entire past details could be known to the authorities. However, to have a better updated informations, remain in touch with the concerned authorities to get the latest updates.

Please note that I had not qualified jee advanced 2022 and have only written jee advanced 2023. The jee advanced 2023 brochure's eligibility criteria mentions *only two attempts in 2 consecutive years* but not whether this is after class 12 on the first year only. The jee mains 2023 brochure has no problem with my specific arrangement. So, does your opinion still stay the same?thanks for all of your responses

    Mrinal,

Please look into the answers to the following post on similar topics which I hope will be able to resolve your queries.

    1. Want to know about eligibility to appear for JEE exam
    2. A query related to JEE
    3. How many attempts will I get in JEE if I give board exams again?

There is a query from my end that may not be related to the topic you are looking for an answer to. When you have already exhausted your attempts, why go only for JEE Advanced by losing a couple of years? Do you think there are no other options and only clearing JEE will give you the desired success? Don't take it in another way, as I am not discouraging you in any way.

    Mrinal,
The result for JEE Advanced for 2023, has not been released so far and it might be you are one of those having cleared this test successfully and if that happens, it would definitely offer you a thrilling experience.
Now consider the opposite of it when you fail to crack the same despite your best efforts, never loose your heart. In that situation, an introspection from your end is required to which career path other than achieving goal in clearing IIT route could excite you.
I hope you would come up with some alternative strategies, which, if followed religiously can provide your more pleasures.
Taking up course of NIOS so as to have got two additional chances for cracking JEE Advanced looks absurd from my end since it is not a realistic approach. If such a provision exists even by a fluke, it would open up an unfair way for other aspirants. This the authorities of IIT would not like to set a bad precedent.
However, it would be better on your part to have a frank query with the chairman of admission committee of IIT regarding your correct approach.

The courses and opportunities that I want are better found at IITs as they provide a lot of flexibility. I'm a very hard working, capable student and I'm pretty sure I might get a good rank if I write jee advanced 2024.
Thank you all for your responses.
How do I contact the chairman of admission committee of IIT?
Will they possibly change the eligibility rules to exclude me from jee advanced 2024 if I contact them?
