How to do Adsense activation without fulfilling 10 Resource / Articles criteria in ISC?

In my old profile I had many articles to my credit and also verified adsense account. But now as that old Google account is not active, i have created new ISC profile.

though I am not much regular in ISC, but with my occasional posts recently I have completed the Gold level criteria. My Adsesnse API profile page shows 5 out of 6 criteria met the prerequisites. Only criteria left is 10 Articles/resources.

As we all know now resource section is closed and merged with Ask expert section. It is now known as "Knowledge Centre". Hence, I am clueless about how can I get the benefits of Adsense API revenue share program?

Can any of the webmasters please show me the way?

    Deepti,

You are under the wrong impression that the resource section is closed and merged with the Ask Experts section. Where did you get this information from?! The resource section is very much open and members, including myself, are contributing on a regular basis. The section is called 'Articles' for quite a while, although the URL in the browser shows it as 'resources'. The admin. would like us to focus on the new Knowledge Centre section, at the same time welcoming articles related to admissions, careers, and other topics related to the new niche on academics.

Regarding AdSense, since you have not been submitting articles for a long while, the final criteria can be fulfilled only by resuming your contributions to that section, namely, articles. Please go through all the red-pinned threads at the top of the forum to stay updated on the changes in policies and new features. Although your AdSense profile page here at ISC does state that you are eligible to apply and associate the ISC account with AdSense, it is best that you wait and submit good content on a regular basis and then only apply for the AdSense association through your Dashboard page.

However, a very important note- you mentioned that you have a verified AdSense account. That means, actually, that you cannot apply for a second one because that is against AdSense policies. So what exactly do you mean by saying that the old Google account is not active? Once an AdSense account is opened, it remains open and you will have a Publisher ID for that account. Inactivity in the account (that is, no earnings) would mean, naturally, that you have not made any attempt to try and earn, either through your own blog/website or through ISC.

You need to be more clear about whether or not you already have an existing AdSense account with a Publisher ID.

As per the Google AdSense protocols, there is no provision for one person to have two accounts. Once one account is opened an ID will be given to the person and that will remain. This is what I understand from my Adsense account. I don't see any necessity to have two accounts.
The Ask Experts section is not active these days. But the articles section is active only. Even in calculating the RSB the points obtained in this section will also be taken into account though double weightage will not be there, I understand, unlike in earlier days.

The above mentioned thread by webmaster states that Article section and ask expert section are merged into new section "knowledge center.

Also please let me know how to attach my existing adsense account to my ISC profile. I have submitted my adsense publisher ID in dashboard link of manage adsense profile.

    But It shows following:

Your Membership Level GOLD (Eligible for Revenue Sharing)
    AdSense Account: pub-926466269********
    Google Status: PENDING
IndiaStudyChannel Status: Pending (This will not affect your Ad serving.)

    Deepti,
In the announcement, Tony Sir has not mentioned any merging. What he has stated is that the Knowledge Centre combines features of the AE and articles section. This means that like how we ask queries in the AE section, similarly, we can raise a Topic, and like how we write articles, so also we can provide information on the topic using HTML tags as we do for an article. Hope that is clear now.

Regarding your Google AdSense- that means you have an existing AdSense account. Google is showing it as pending status likely because you have not been actively contributing content. So, as I stated, you simply need to resume your contributions here. Start providing quality content in both the articles and the KC sections, and also be active in the forum. Good forum topics raised for discussion will also be beneficial in getting approval for the ISC-AdSense association. See that you adhere to the rules and guidelines of the site and after about 4-5 months, perhaps it would help to follow the instructions given in this announcement on re-associating your account. As for the pending status of ISC, refer to point #5 in the aforementioned announcement.

Let us know if you require further guidance. We'll be happy to help!

Deepti, please read point No. 4 in the thread that you are referring to. It says, "4. In the articles section, each member can create his own articles with his own titles. In this new section, "Titles" are independent of the content. You can add content to any title even if the titles are created by someone else."

Go through it once again and your doubt will be clarified.

That "Pending" status usually comes when a member applies for a new account. Deepti, have you applied for a new AdSense account?

If yes, you now need to wait for the review from the Google team to see if your application gets approved.

If not, I think it is better to take Tony's input.
