An adjudicator should have in-depth knowledge of the subject to evaluate a thesis
After completing the work, a research student has to submit his work as a detailed report, generally called a thesis. Three copies of the same are to be submitted. The university will send a copy each to two examiners. Some universities will send a copy to a foreign examiner and another to an Indian examiner. But some universities send both to Indian examiners only. The selection of adjudicators is very important. The person to whom the thesis is being sent for evaluation should have in-depth knowledge of the subject on which the thesis is presented. Otherwise, he may not be able to evaluate properly the work carried out by the student and justice can't be done to the work presented in the thesis. Some adjudicators may not accept the proposal to adjudicate the thesis after seeing the synopsis if they feel that they are not the correct persons to evaluate.
