In the name of content- anything and everything

There are already thousands of content creators on the platforms like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook and many new ones emerge on a daily basis. Initially, these contents were, at least in some or the other manner, useful but now, slowly, they are being created for the sake of it without any purose or value. People post vlogs about anything and everything, and the worst part is that they still get millions of views. There are many content creators who, in the name of making vlogs, shows the very intimate environment of family, family feuds, use children as props, tasks and very unusual pranks. How do these videos get millions of views and earn so much whereas genuinely talented people are often left behind?
There are many YouTube channels that, in the name of making roast videos, just use the kind of language that one can't play in public. The level of language that they use is so bad and full of abuse for mothers, sisters and family members. Every time I see such videos, I feel pity for the younger generation who will grow up in such an environment.

Yes, I do agree. But the shelf-life of such Youtubers is extremely short.

I think the point to be noted in this case is the large number of viewers such YouTubers are able to gather. It is, I feel, more horrifying.

I agree that videos containing obscene or abusive content or videos that encroach upon the privacy of others should be subjected to some sort of censorship or restrictions but is it not a fact that it is the number of views they get that encourages them to create and post more such videos? It is true that young children who may not be aware of the realities may get confused or may be misled by such videos but what about the grown ups, who can make out what is wrong and what is right, who form the majority among those who view and share such videos? It is after all more of a business than a creative exercise for those who indulge in creating such videos. So why blame them only. No product will be able to sustain unless there are takers for it. It is something related to one's interests and choices.

Internet is a vast world which, though virtual, is managed by individuals and so we can't expect only good things therein. So, one should be scrupulous in deciding to choose what he wants to view. Leave alone abusive contents, don't we get to see videos from accident scenes or scenes of violent attacks . Our reactions in such cases may be different. One might enjoy the video while another might feel pity or disgusted but we do watch them because we want to know what it is all about and is curious to know the end. So, in my opinion, restrictions (to be implemented by the admins) is, no doubt, required but the viewers should also exercise prudence.

The author has rightly said that in the name of content, there are many content creators making videos without considering the impact of such videos on the mindsets of adolescents. They have tasted the trend of marketing and have the firm belief that every product has its own market and their released videos have unmanageable traffic very often. So why should they take care of decency of languages or screening some decent materials to suit the viewers?
There is no consideration of the adolescents and youngsters who could be infatuated with such videos in the midst of their online sessions for their subject materials. The contents released by the content developers might attract these innocent kids to view these unwanted videos at the cost of ruining their times for their studies. Moreover, the become addictive at the the later stages and their chances of retrieving from such videos will become nearly impossible.

This is a very valid point discussed by the author. We often find such videos, which were made without any goal except earning from videos. But still, they succeed to get views in an unexpected way and even peoples are more connected to such videos.

I agree with the author. How do so many people waste their time watching these waste videos? Especially some videos dealing with political leaders are very objectionable. These videos are also been viewed by school-going children also which is making a lot of impact on them and they are getting addicted to such videos. So there should be strict control on such videos and any objectionable videos should be deleted. The makers should be warned not to post such videos and if the same thing is repeated there should be serious action. Otherwise this trend will continue.

'Agar jyada ho gaya to Amrut bhi Vish ban jaata hai'- When exceeded, even the holy nectar will also become poison.
These kind of videos may be a break or fun for a short time like a bit of salt/ pickle amidst / after tasting sweets/ sweet dishes continuously. They may be some comic relief interlude when we are exposed to too serious and tragic matters and news. Soon we get overfed and irritated by them when served more and more. They then easily become stereotype and stale. Of course they too have their audience and viewers.

A ban may not serve the purpose. Choice freedom is the best check. Once their utility is over, people will automatically get weaned away from them.
