Can my posts on forum be deleted by ISC without informing me?

I feel like I posted something yesterday but it is not reflected anywhere. I don't think I just assumed I posted something.
Now this is like questioning my memory, but If something is deleted or getting rejected, shouldn't I be informed in the Alert section? I know the forum section is restricted to education only, and I am in the process of understanding this change and try to limit my post but still I think
one should be informed if their content does not get posted.

    Neelam,

The alert notifications that we get in our email are not available for the forum section. If I am not mistaken, email alerts are a feature that the site's admin. has to pay for, so it may be restricted as per the budget. As you have done now, members generally raise a thread to inquire about the reason if they are not able to understand the reason for deletion.

Generally, we can see our deleted content in any section, including the forum, under the 'delete' link in the specific section. Are you able to do so for the thread that got deleted? Do try to adapt to the new change in policy and come up with interesting topics related to academics.

There is no such mechanism on this platform to inform the author if one of his threads posted was deleted. If an article is rejected or approved or kept pending, you will get an email. The same is the case with knowledge centre also. But it is different for the forum. If you see at the top of the index page of forums, you will find a column as shown below. If you click on" deleted " you will see the list of deleted threads. That is the way you know about the deletion of your thread and if you have any issue to raise you have to make a fresh thread like what you did now.

As already explained we do not get alerts for everything. My experience in ISC so far is that if something is not put up in a proper and precise way then editors ask us to modify it by keeping it under pending category. Deletion of any contribution is only done in extreme condition when it does not conform to the rules, regulations, and policies of the site. Generally, before deleting anything some polite warnings are given in similar earlier cases and if a member is not able to comply with them then deletion is done as a last resort. I just wanted to express my understandings in the matter. Hope that helps.

Yes, controversial/unwanted/embarrassing Forum posts are deleted/kept in pending mode without giving any information or reason to the member who raised such post.
