Campus Admissions - Flash Fiction Creative Writing Contest
With our focus on academics and, especially admissions, here's a unique challenge that combines the two on the occasion of ISC's birthday - a flash fiction contest for our enthusiastic creative authors!What you have to do- Write a fictional story that can be very short or long but does not exceed 1000 words. It should have a good flow in the plot with characters, as also a nice surprise element to it. It can be witty, mysterious, romantic, poetic…any genre, any format! Of course, the story must be developed around the theme.
Theme: Campus Admissions.
The Rules-
1. A member can submit only one story. You can put in any title but it must include the words campus and/or admissions in it.
2. The story should be fictional and in English, and you are free to put conversational pieces. Strictly no slang, and no references whatsoever to weapons, alcohol, medications (drugs), and the kind.
3. The campus in the story should be based in a college or a university (not a school), and you must give a link within the story to any course page. Do not give more than one link, and no external links are allowed.
How to submit your entry: First, submit the story in Discussion Forums>>About IndiaStudyChannel>>Creative Writing. Then, once it is posted, submit the URL in a response to this thread (we would prefer a direct link for quick reference). If you do not submit it here, then it will not be considered for a prize. You are permitted to edit the story at any time for corrections, but not to change the storyline as such.
The Rewards-
The best story wins a cash prize of Rs. 100/- (only one prize).
The second-best story wins a cash prize of Rs. 75/- (only one prize).
Other participants may be given enhanced points and cc.
