Today is Guru Poornima, let us pay respects to all teachers on this day

Today is Guru Poornima. As per Hindu Mythology Guru is one who introduces us to society and introduces society to us. In the olden days, children used to stay with Guru and used to render his services to Guru and learn from him. Guru used to take care of the students. Slowly the system changed and modern schooling procedures came into existence. But the importance of the teacher remained the same.

On this day I pay my respects to all my teachers who taught me from my primary school to the university level. I had a satisfying life so far because of the teachings of all these teachers. I salute all the teachers on this earth on this day and wish a happy Gurupoornima day to all the members of ISC.

As I pay my respects to all the teachers who have contributed to what I am today, on this Guru Purnima, I would like to delve into what teaching is all about. We are generally accustomed to teachers who have taught us in schools or colleges. For some, it might be a profession while for some it is a passion. Teaching a student is not just about languages or subjects. It should be an endeavor to mold good citizens and valuable human beings. A good teacher is one who would understand and realize a student and help him out being a guide, parent, sibling, friend etc . I am lucky that I had the blessings of such passionate teachers who maintained personal relations and I am grateful to all of them. Thank you all!

On the very auspicious day of Guru Purnima, I pay my sincere respect and express my humble gratitude to my parents and all my Gurus from whom I have tried to learn something; those who have tried to enlarge my mind and encouraged to question every theory.

We all humans are attaining this human birth based on our earlier paap and punya balance. Our Guru used to tell us there is no chance of equalizing the paap and punya as we have to meet out the benefits of paap and punya in this birth. This human birth is a rare one among the 84 lakhs birth and death cycle. We have to clear out our karma well in this birth itself and for this we need a Guru who is not remove or change or correct our karma balance but the Guru change our mind so as to tolerate the problems in this birth and He pave the way to us for eternal bliss.
Here the need of Guru become indispensable to a Human. For this no has to wander in search of a Guru in this life but once we think to reach a Guru, the right Guru automatically comes to us as a good saying in Mahabharath that one when put a step towards Guru, Guru will step up 100 times towards His disciple.
So, in this great occasion, we remember and follow as routine the teachings of our Guru and is the pleasant way of pleasing the Guru rather than anything.

I am really indebted to my teachers and whatever I am, it is due to their inspirations and timely valuable guidance at all stages of my studies. This is applicable to all teachers irrespective of the stage of my education. Right from the primary level to higher level, there was no dilution in in their preachings and guidance. Sometimes, some teachers in my high school stage talked beyond the subjects very often with the topics ranging from morality, ethics and the current development. Without their honest guidance, I would not have been able to achieve the different designations of my steel plant since they injected me patience and firm determination to get the best always in my work.
On this auspicious day of Guru Purnima, I pay my respects to all our Gurus including my parents for their valuable assistance.

On this auspicious day, I pay my respects to all my teachers and gurus who came across my life. I am indebted because of their teachings and blessings and they are continuously helping to shape my life. Yes, they are still helping because a Guru helps to realize life in a better way and realization continues. Gurus make our lives content and they are not limited to the parents or teachers who taught us in schools/colleges. Gurus are the guiding lights in every sphere of our lives and show us the path to traverse. It is the Guru who removes darkness and lights up the path.
