Stiff competition for Class XI admission in Maharashtra

In the state of Maharashtra, there is an online admission process for std XI, in the defined places covering Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, and Nashik. This admission process is applicable to all recognized Junior Colleges affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board.
Cut-offs are declared college wise and the merit list is published. In the first merit list the cut off marks for admission in good schools was hovering around 90-92%. The second merit list is also announced and is showing cut off marks above 85%.
Many students having marks in the band 80-85% are not able to get admission in the choice of their school.
These students are now waiting for the third merit list expected to be released in second week of July 2023.
The competition to get admission in class XI in a good school in the above defined area is very stiff.
Are you aware of this tough situation?

Everywhere such competition is there for good schools. Especially some famous private institutes in Hyderabad will not give admissions only on the basis of 10th marks. But they will conduct their own admission test and only the students who obtain top ranks are getting seats. But there are many schools where the seats for the 11th class are vacant. That is mainly due to the low standards in those particular schools.
Good schools and junior colleges are in big demand in AP and Telangana also. But in government junior colleges seats are available for many students as there will be no much rush there.

The main reason behind the setting of cut - off is due to large number of students interested to take admission into good schools due to their quality of teaching.,This has pushed the the cut - offs at the higher levels but strangely it is not applicable to all places. There are some schools having vacant seats but there are no admission takers for such schools.,
Taking admission in the top ranking schools have their own advantages. We could see a healthy competition among the students in relation to studies and in that way, the results of such schools remain impressive always. In the upcoming time, we would witness more stiff competition among the students in respect of admission in quality schools.

The third list is also out but the competition is still maintained at the same level and many students are disappointed not to get admission in the college of their choice.
    Knowledge is power.
