Huge educational facility in our country

India is geographically a big country and we have a large population also. Our GDP is quite robust and we are self-sufficient in many aspects.
On the educational front, we have a large number of schools, colleges, institutes, universities, training institutes, etc in the private as well as Govt sectors. Collectively it is a huge facility.
As per the data available on the internet and considering the total of various categories of the institutions we have about 1100+ universities, 43000+ colleges, 142000+ higher secondary schools, and 1100000+ primary schools.
Is not that an impressive data set? We have a huge educational facility. What are your views or comments on that?

Actually, India can't be called a country but it is a subcontinent. Many countries in the world are even smaller than the smallest state in the country. But the main problem is population is very high and population density is also very high. That is why India is not progressing as expected.
But these days as the whole world has become a village without any borders many of our Indians are going everywhere and studying and getting employed there itself. So it is correct to say we have a big choice to select from various institutes.
By seeing the numbers we feel they are very high. But when we see the ratio of students and colleges etc., sometimes we feel we may require many more. I heard from many people that the medical colleges in India are very costly and very less in number also. I think there should be some improvement in this area.
As mentioned by the author we see a big increase in the numbers due to private players coming into this area also.
