Qualification may get us a job but career growth depends on our performance

Once we finish our studies we will look around for a job. The qualification we obtained will be useful for us to obtain a job provided we perform well in the interview. But that is not the end of the story. Continuing in the job and career progress will not come just with our qualifications. Our performance on the job only can give better growth.

If we really want to progress well in our profession, we should work hard and smart. We should show the results and our bosses should get satisfied with our performance. Then only we can sustain and may head for career growth. But simply showing our qualifications but not performing well on the job will never lead us anywhere. I think all members will be in agreement with me.

The author has posted a very genuine posting stressing the need of showing our results in the areas where we are putting our efforts. Mere qualifications would not impress the bosses any more. Of course qualification might be the entry point of any service but once we enter the service life, we have to justify our potentials with our performance. Hence in the service life different parameters are needed such as our patience, understanding the nature of the jobs being undertaken by our selves and finally based upon our excellent achievements towards the jobs would pave the way to our successes. With the increasing demands of the better out puts in all the services, we need to be more competitive and committed our jobs.

There is no holiday in our lives and we have to work continuously to earn the bread everyday. Doing work and performing well is the only mantra for getting success in a particular career. Making a career is not an easy thing as it requires sustained efforts.
So believing that getting a job is the end of story of our struggle is a wrong notion. Actually the real struggle starts from that point only.
I remember in 1976 when I joined ny second job then I found that I was not knowing anything to work in that environment and was worried a lot as it would affect my performance. With great efforts I could learn some basics and it took me six months to achieve that. Everyday I was learning a new thing.

    Knowledge is power.
