Participating in quiz programmes will be helpful to students

Many children will be experiencing anxiety and stress when they have to face examinations. They worry more about their performance in the test. They worry about what their teachers think about them and what other students think about them.

If such children are made to participate in quiz programmes during normal days, there will be a lot of improvement. Quizzes are useful for learning without having much stress. These quizzes will make the students accustomed to examinations and their anxiety about examinations will also come down.

These quizzes will be beneficial to shy or introverted children. That is why quiz competitions are conducted in many educational institutions.

In my opinion, educational quizzes are instrumental in creating interest in students for learning new things. I strongly believe that these quizzes should be an integral part of our educational system everywhere at every level.
Once a student starts liking educational quizzes he will be interested and inclined to solve objective-type questions which are very common nowadays in so many competitive examinations. Further, a student who is often solving quizzes is getting the exercise of the brain and such a student will have a more imaginative mind than the normal students.
Parents should inculcate quiz-solving ideas in the minds of their children as it will help the children in the long run while studying as well as later while pursuing a career.

Quiz programmes are the best tools to enhance general knowledge in the different fields thus raising their IQ levels of the participants. Hence involvement in such activities will enable the practicing students to enhance their concentration power. It will definitely help them to manage their stress levels simultaneously.
Since Quiz develops concentration and hence indirectly it will boost the memory power of the students and ultimately it would prove to be the most effective way of raising memory within the pupils.

I want to add that parents should monitor their children and find out their interests and likings. Then they should motivate and inspire them to participate in the quiz programs related to that area. This will help in inculcating more interest in the child for learning in that segment. There are many opportunities like National Day, Environment Day, School or College functions, and many others like that where the schools or colleges or organizations conduct quiz programs to attract the students to participate in it and get awards. Parents should motivate their children to take part in these quiz programs and avail such opportunities for developing the educational level of their children.

During my school days, I participated in some quiz programs and was immensely benefited by them. So I strongly advocate for them so that students today can also benefit from that.

I remember one quiz in which it was asked - how many legs does a spider have? Many students hastily answered six but later we all found that the spider belonged to the Arthropoda category and had eight legs. So, we learn a lot from quizzes.
