It is really a nice initiative by the university of sholapur to go for an amalgamation of old as well as new aspects of the manner in which education was imparted. The system which we are following today was created by Britishers just to create tools for their work to be done and not educated people in reality. The system which was perfect just to give the level of education that makes a person suitable for official government job while neglecting any other kind of development of his/her personality, mindset, outlook and life overall. Whereas the ancient system of education which is referred as Indic system in the post by the author was not solely based on any one aspect of life but covered various aspects. Thus for making a new system which is focused on utility, education and skills and generate well educated students it is best way to incorporate various dimensions in which education can be imparted.

Our ancient education system was based on robust foundation. Some of those principles are also valid today. In our modern educational system these old and tested principles can be adopted to make our present system fool proof.
Many modern scholars have taken leads from our ancient knowledge and educationists have followed that successfully.

    Knowledge is power.

In the olden days, students used to serve Guru 24 X 7 by staying with him. There are no timings. Whenever Guruji finds time he used to teach his students. Teachers used to give food and all required for the living of the students. Here the relationship between Guruji and Sishya will be very strong, Based on the talent and interest of the student Guru used to teach subjects to their students. Slowly many changes have taken place and today's system has evolved.
We should appreciate the steps that are being taken by MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur to train and produce citizens who excel in academics as well as in making society a better place by contributing their wisdom to uplift society. All other universities should also follow this university and implement such a system.

We cannot ignore the valuable contributions of our Indian Gurus who were totally devoted to teaching to their disciples in the different subjects. They were really the scholars teaching different subjects with equal commands and their disciples were completely immersed in such lessons. Relation between Gurus and his students were based on selfless motives. These gurus were the masters of Mathematics, Sanskrit, Ayurveda, Philosophy, Salya Chikitsa and many more. Though the aspirants were not allowed to go elsewhere during the season of their learning system, they get the education in those days with all the relevant information.
