It is good that another IIM is available for students who wanted to do their MBA.
The Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023 is for
    (i) Alignment of IIM Act with Acts governing the IITs and other Institutes of National Importance.
(ii) Inclusion of NITIE, Mumbai in the schedule of the IIM Act, 2017 and
(iii Renaming NITIE, Mumbai as IIM Mumbai
Once it is has become an IIM, it will be following are the protocols that are being followed by other IIMs.
CAT rank will be the criterion for admission like any other IIMs.

It is an heartening news for the aspirants to note that another IIM would be available to them so that their induction to the IIM course courses becomes somewhat easy. NITIE is to be renamed as IIM Mumbai. Admission procedure for the said institution would be followed in the same way as being followed in other IIM institutions.

A very good news. The commercial capital of the country will finally get a new IIM. But, from my experience I know that it would take at least 5-7 years for proper functioning of the new IIM, although a good infrastructure is already available.
