Is NOC from past Private employer needed for Bank PO interview

I have worked for a private company a year back. I have also received an experience letter from them. Do I need to produce any other document related to that because they only provide Experience letter (which does includes the duration of my employment).

That would depend upon how much rapport that the private company is enjoying in the industrial circles apart from the strength of the employees they are having. If the strength of the employees is large and at the same time, their earnings from their business is huge, it would be considered as the largest organisation.
Production of their experience certificate would be an added advantage for you. You can produce the same to show that you have earned an experience in this line. The next employer might feel happy to recruit you in the service they are looking for.
Take the case of an employee working in Tata Steel or TCS and produces an experienced certificate of certain numbers of years, the employer would be happy to recruit such an employee of the private organisation provided he fits in other criteria.

To be frank, NOC is required from private employers also, if we claim that we are working in so and so company and claim that we have some experience. As far as I know, Banks are not asking for any experience for applying for PO posts. So you need not even mention your present job in a company. If you mention your experience and provide him with all the details about your experience, definitely he will ask for NOC and you have to provide that NOC at the time of the interview.
But it is always advisable to give facts when you are applying for government banks or private banks. Once you mention you are working in so and so place. all will ask for NOC. But some private complied will not insist. But banks will asl the NOC.

If you have applied through proper channel which means you have applied through the organisation where you are working then at the time of interview or document verification in the new place, NOC from the present employer would be required.
NOC actually is in the nature of no dues and no objection certificate from the employer and is in a sense a type of character certificate also which spells out that the employee had worked their so long and now is leaving for better prospect.
If one has applied through proper channel then one can resign from the earlier job by giving notice or foregoing pay for the last few months as per the terms of the employment and then there should not be any problem in getting a NOC.

    Knowledge is power.
