What are the ways to bring interest in students regarding their studies?

We hear many news about the lack of interest among students in their studies. Some students are always in search of some reasons to avoid going to school. This may be mainly due to a lack of interest in studies.

The parents and teachers should pay attention towards such students and see that they will become regular in learning. The parents and teachers should interact with such students and ask them about their future plans and goals and should impress upon them the importance of education for achieving their goals in their lives.

Teachers should try to understand each and every student in the class and see what their weaknesses are and some special attention should be given to bring them out of their weaknesses. Members can suggest some other paths to bring interest in students.

What the author has indicated is the main area of our concern. This needs to be tackled effectively so that they fit in the mainstream of their total devotion to their studies. The attitudes of the pupils can be changed if they realise that their issues are being heard patiently both by the teachers and the parents with the equal attention.
Sometimes our handling with the kids is not decent. If they come with some problems, this needs to heard first but in some of situations, they rebuke them saying that they are extremely busy with their official assignments and even in the schools for a minor lapse, the authorities send a reminder to their parents. Such attitudes are to be curbed first. They need some sort of closeness of both their teachers and parents.
Create an environment where they are heard and sort out their issues amicably. Once you gain their trust, they would start showing their interest in their studies.

Few students have interest in studies and they only perform better in their examinations. Many students consider studies as a burden and something that their parents had forced on them. But the fact of matter is that parents do it for the welfare of the students and for facilitating them to make a good career after completing their education.
So we have to make the children aware of this fact during their tender age itself. There are many ways to do that but one of the most important is that the children should understand the value of money and parents should not give them extra facilities which they do not deserve. It should be made clear to them that they would get rewards only when they fare well in their academic pursuits. Second thing is that the parents should not allow their children to fall in bad company and instead spare time to provide them company.
By providing a conducive environment students can be motivated and encouraged to do studies. Once they understand its relation with their future they will definitely work in that direction.

A teacher needs to create a student-friendly environment to stir interest among students in the teaching-learning process in the classroom. A teacher should not create an unfriendly scene when the class begins instead encourage students to express their curiosity or whatever questions they want to ask a tutor. And begin the class with some funny activities so the students feel comfortable enough to begin the proceedings. A supportive environment in the class encourages students to grasp the lesson and enables them to flourish better in their performance.
Anything that discourages a student and grips him or her with fears would only hamper the student's progress and push him or her into uncertain stress. Taking care of a student in a class and making sure a student is nurtured in a suitable environment would help the student prosper in his or her academic career. So the environment in the class must be generous to allow students to thrive.

I agree that teachers should not discourage any student. If a student is not coming up as per the expectations of the teacher, he should be called separately and tell him about his mistakes and guide him properly so that he will not repeat the mistakes.

To cultivate a genuine interest in students regarding their studies, a multifaceted approach is essential. First and foremost, educators should strive to make learning relevant by drawing connections between classroom concepts and real-world applications. Active learning methods, such as discussions and hands-on activities, should be encouraged to enhance engagement and comprehension. Granting students a degree of choice and autonomy, allowing them to select topics or projects aligned with their interests, can significantly boost motivation. The integration of technology in the classroom, through interactive apps and online resources, can make learning more captivating. Diverse teaching methods should be employed to cater to different learning preferences while fostering a classroom culture that values curiosity and questions can nurture a genuine passion for learning. Recognizing and celebrating academic achievements, creating a supportive environment, and connecting curriculum content to personal interests all contribute to kindling students' enthusiasm for their studies. Moreover, setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and involving students in self-assessment empower them to take ownership of their learning journey. Ultimately, by adopting these strategies, educators and parents can inspire a lifelong love for learning in students, ensuring their sustained interest in their studies.

By keeping our own ego separately the teachers should offer their lectures in the way so that the student can understand and grasp into their mind.

Again it is to reiterate about the teaching system of yester years without minding the comment from the younger generation teachers and department persons.

In those days the teachers at the level of schools, high schools and colleges though the medium was in English they teach the lessons with explanations in their own vernacular language. We cannot expect all the students receives the teachings well.

Nowadays, the explaining the subject in vernacular language considered as a shame to a lecturer or teacher. Many students felt difficulty to understand or grasp the teachings well and that difficulty leads them to diversion in their activities even to the level of miscreants.

In one colony of our area there was a temple function organized. By considering the speaker sound of bhajans, pravachans etc., two of the area people gave complaint into the nearby police station as felt nuisance. Two policemen came there to take the person who was doing pravachan. But at the end of the pravachan they came to him and told with bowed hands,' Sir, we came from the nearest police station to take you as per our Inspector's instruction based on some complaint from this colony people. But by hearing your pravachan and way of telling, we changed our mind into the spiritual nature. Sorry we are moving". Here the minds of Police constables diverted by hearing a pravachan. Similar to that the minds of students will get directed to the good level if the teaching found understandable.
