    International Heart Day, today, 29th September 2023

    Today, 29th September is observed as an International Heart Day and many Heart Specialists gave various advises to keep our heart in a well manner.
    Accordingly,
    • Smoking is to be completely avoided as Heart problems are more in case of smoking persons than others. It is because of the level of oxygen going to heart is poor for those who smokes. Moreover the chances of problems are more to the persons by side of smokers too.
    • Sitting in the same place for more hours to be completely avoided and frequent walking in the middle is advisable
    • Consuming more fiber foods is advisable
    • Consumption of excess salt is to be avoided
    • Keeping the level of cholesterol, glucose (sugar), Blood Pressure in control is highly expected
    • Practicing Yoga, Meditation is good and keeping the weight of the body under control is essential.
    • Regular exercise, walking is essential
    • Following a correct timing is food taking is a must in our daily routine
    • Consuming vegetables, Sunflower oil , Corn, Meat without fat, Olive oil leads a good heart
    • Laughing is a good medicine as it releases the stress of mind which is main cause for Heart Problems.

    International Heart Day best wishes to all the members of ISC. The importance of maintaining good health should be taught to children from an early age. How our habits will tell upon health should be taught to children in their early education itself. It is easy to make them understand the concept at an early age. Once they grow and get habituated to an unhealthy way of life it is very difficult to change them.
    Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the biggest threat to date and it is occupying the first place in killer diseases. The deaths due to Heart attack, stroke and heart failure are very high and roughly estimated as above 20.5 million every year. These deaths are more in low- and middle-income countries.
    Many of these deaths are preventable by changing a little their habits, I understand. By changing our food habits, daily undertaking some physical exercise, we can prevent such problems in our lives.

    A good post by the author on the occasion of international heart day. People are now becoming more and more aware about the heart diseases and the associated dangers to our health if heart does not work properly.
    Experts believe that by doing regular exercises and yoga and meditation one can get rid of many ailments including the ones which are affecting our heart and making it weaker day by day.
    At the same time food habits also are very important in this matter and it is necessary to avoid the junk food or oily food to keep the body in good shape and reduce the level of cholesterols.
    International heart day reminds us to reconsider and review our life style and take corrective actions to protect our heart from the various dangers to which it is exposed in the present environment.

    Knowledge is power.
