Uncover Your Ideal University And Course To Study In Canada

Canadian universities consistently rank among the best in the world, providing a high-quality education that is globally recognized. In the 2023 QS World University Rankings, 14 Canadian universities secured positions in the top 500, showcasing the academic excellence and rigorous standards upheld by Canadian institutions.
Compared to universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, Canadian universities offer more affordable tuition fees. This makes Canada an attractive option for Indian students looking for a quality education at a reasonable cost. The lower tuition fees help students manage their expenses without compromising on the quality of education.

The author has given a good brief and overview of the education in Canada for Indian students. It is true that many students from our country having desire to go abroad and get higher education which also helps them in securing a job there itself which is of course the main attraction of going abroad for education.

When it comes to the cost of education abroad then there are many other countries also where it is cheaper to get education. Some of these are Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Poland.

    Knowledge is power.

That is true. Canada is a much-wanted destination for many Indian students. I know many students who went to Canada for their Master's degree in Engineering and settled there. As mentioned by the author, education in Canada is less costly than that in the USA and UK, I understand that Canada offers part-time earning opportunities for foreign students. Getting a Canadian Visa is also not very difficult.
There are scholarships also for students coming there from other countries and pursuing their education in this country. The quality of education in Canada is good I understand. All these reasons put together make Canada a good destination. Students who wish to go there can research more about the country, educational institutions, scholarships and fees details etc. and then go ahead. There are some study abroad consultants who can guide the students in this respect. But the students and their parents should be careful in selecting such consultants.

In this regard, I would request all Indian students and those who are planning to study in Canada, the recent advisory issued by the Government of India to remain alert about the current circumstances prevailing in that country.

Umesh and Dr Rao - I don't think you are aware of the current reality of students migrating to Canada for education. Anyone going abroad, and not just to Canada, should check out online posts and videos of Indian students who have headed abroad to study with the ultimate goal of finding a job, and media reports, too. They'll know the harsh truth.

Just last week I came across this report-
    https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/no-house-no-jobs-canadian-dream-turns-nightmare-for-indian-students-canada-india-news-immigration-2440331-2023-09-26?utm_source=articlepage&utm_medium=mustread&utm_campaign=recommendation

And today, I read this report-
    https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/opinion/indian-students-in-canada-disenchanted-helpless-new-delhi-must-spread-pre-migration-awareness/ar-AA1hMmrE?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=86b9fe19a120498e8275c63a9859cec2&ei=28

Canada is no longer a dream destination for Indian students who are easily better than most of the international students joining universities in Canada. Keeping aside the current diplomatic imbroglio with Canadian Government and law and order problem created by the Khalistani extremists in Canada, there are many other issues of concern.

Indian students who want to study abroad must explore other countries (e.g. France, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, etc.) instead of Canada.

I just contacted one of my friends whose sons are in Canada and asked them about the status of their sons there. He said he is in contact with them and they are continuing their education there and no complaints from their side. Anyhow I told him about the present day status and asked him to convey the matter to their sons so that they will be careful.
Another friend's son is there in Canada and he is doing some business there. I discussed with my friend and he says there are no problems for the Indians staying there. He is in touch with his son. I discussed with him just three days before.
May be these two cases may not be representing the actual position there and what the reports cited by the members as responses to this post may be having a better idea. So, any person trying to move to Canada now should be careful in getting the actual situation there and take a decision.
