Communication skills are very important for a teacher

Communication skills are nothing but your skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking. Communication is a two-way process. These communication skills are very important for a teacher.

A teacher should be able to communicate effectively with students. It will make students understand easily and a positive learning environment will be created.

A teacher who communicates effectively will have good relations not only with students but also with parents, and colleagues. A teacher should be able to communicate in such a way that the students will grasp the point the teacher wants to drive, easily. A teacher who communicates effectively can train his/ her students easily in developing their communication skills. A teacher with good communication skills will never overlook listening to a student's voice. This listening will help the students in clearing their doubts easily and thus will become a good learner.

A teacher may have a good knowledge of subject but that would not suffice if he is not able to teach and communicate that to his students in a clear and understandable manner.
Whether it is teaching or giving a lecture or public speaking, everywhere communication is the key to a successful delivery. Even a knowledgeable person would not be able to impress the audience if one is not having good communication skills.
Whether it is verbal or written communication is very important between two persons. A clear, precise, and proper communication is an asset to an individual.
The interest of students in a class will significantly increase if teacher communicates in an interesting and impressive way.

    Knowledge is power.

A good communication skills is always desirable for all so that our thoughts and emotions are correctly understood by the listeners. It is more desirable for a teacher so as to be successful in their professional career.
They have the responsibility of discharging their roles as the efficient teachers.
They would fail if they lack the skills of the communication - skills. The students would find their subjects boring in such situation due to their subject clarity.
If required, the school authorities should conduct a separate session to enhance their communication skills so as to improve the overall performance of the class

Yes, I do agree. In traditional method of teaching followed in India, the communication ability of a teacher is the most important aspect. In B.Ed. course where Post-Graduates and Graduates are trained to become teachers, stress is given on developing the ability of communication.

In this connection, I would like to state about three Mathematics teachers of the school where I studied. We had three Mathematics teachers. One teacher had a brilliant academic record, but he was a poor communicator. The second one was average in all aspect. But the third teacher, whose academic career was very poor compared to the first two, was very popular not only in our school, but in entire South Calcutta. He ran a booming tuition centre and developed the career of innumerable students, because of his excellent power of communicating with students. He left this world almost thirty years before, but he is still remembered by his students.

This is right. In earlier days the teachers of any class taught the subjects with sub stories and incidents as the subject would sit in the mind strongly along with the story or incidents told by the teacher. This is not only for school teachers but also college lecturers as they should never teach the subjects vague. They should make the minds of students to grasp his teachings/lectures.
One day I saw some persons holding boards on their chests and backs in order to advertise a product. This simply made me to remember our professor C. S. Krishna's teachings during his advertisement class in our BCom Marketing subject. He was telling about the advertisement type as Human billboard which was familiar in those days. (https://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/234985-human-billboards-advertise-sites.html). I saw such persons on the road of T. Nagar, Chennai during 2019 but remembered the teachings of 1976.
