Rightly channelizing a student is parents' duty

Has the title of the thread created confusion in your mind? Well, let me explain it. Not all, but quite a good number of parents think that getting admission of their child to a school makes their duty complete. Let me humbly remind those parents that putting in a school is not the end of their responsibility, but it increases further.

School is the first place for kids to connect with the outer world. The student life is different from the cosy life of their home. They start learning good and bad things simultaneously, so their parents should remain vigilant. Acquiring academic knowledge becomes useless if a student becomes a spoiled human being. School, college, coaching centres or home tuition are the sources of formal education, so the parents and the family must not ignore their foremost duty of channelling their child in the right direction. What do you say?

I feel rightly channelizing a child in the right direction is the duty of parents. This is more so when their children start going to school., Parents should interact with the teachers in the school to get first-hand information about the nature and moments of their wards. Admitting their children to a school is a step towards that but that alone will not make them free from their responsibility.
These days parents never have time to spend with their children. They struggle a lot to earn more and more so that they can see their children living with all comforts. Instead, if they spend some time daily with them and explain to them what is good and what is bad? They should also watch their moments while going to and coming from school.
Observing the moments of the children and bringing them back to the correct track will always be the biggest responsibility of the parents only and teachers will be supplementing them.

Just getting the children admitted in school or college and paying the fees is not the end of duty for the parents. If they think so then that is a grave mistake they are doing.
Parents have a bigger role to play and have to keep a strict vigil on the children as well as monitor their academic progress. They are actually bridges between the educational institutes and their houses. If the bridge is weak or incomplete then the student would suffer in the long run.
Today the job situation is very tight and everywhere competition is too much and making a career is a difficult task. In such a situation parents role becomes more crucial and they have to proactively help the child to get a job or make a career.
Many times students become desparate and become worried and confused and that is the time when parents have to take a lead and diffuse that challenging juncture.

    Knowledge is power.
