Audio-visual aids are very effective in teaching

What we see will be remembered more than what we hear or read is a very commonly known fact. That is why audio-visual aids are playing a very important role in education these days. These will strengthen the abilities of a teacher in delivering a lecture or teaching a lesson. Videos are a very good way to develop interest in students. Many teachers use these tools these days as they make the classes more interactive and a student never feels monotonous.

Audiovisuals provide a very good opportunity for teachers as well as students to express themselves effectively. These are very useful to teach students in primary school. Always hearing verbal communication may make students dull and may not follow the lessons properly. But audiovisuals are useful to motivate the students. I request other members also to express their views on this subject

When we were in our schools, there were no such modern facilities available. At that time teachers were the only source of Information and study material to us. We only had a few textbooks and sometimes some guide books to guide us in studies if we could not get what the teacher was telling us.
Interestingly, there were teachers who taught in such a way that it was self explanatory and we got the concepts cleared in the classroom. Some teachers used to draw beautiful diagrams on the blackboard with the help of chalks and sometime coloured chalks and that was just like the audio visual presentation which we are seeing today.
At that time, there was a great challenge of completing the syllabus by the year end and teachers were much burdened by that responsibility.
Today, due to the availability of so many modern facilities teacher's job is not so difficult as in the earlier times.

    Knowledge is power.
