Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India has announced 69 lakh scholarships for schedule caste candidates under 'Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for SC students for the year 2023-24'.
The students in all the recognised courses class XI onwards and whose parents have annual income not exceeding Rs 2.5 lakhs are eligible to apply. They have to apply on their respective State Scholarship Portals and have to provide mobile number, Aadhaar number, bank account, income and caste certificate.
The scholarships consist of refund of fee and academic allowance allowance ranging from Rs 2500 to 13500 per year.

This is a very good initiative Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India. There are many poor people from schedule castes in India especially in rural India. Unfortunately many students will not get this information and even the school administration also will not take much interest in informing their students about such scholarships. All colleges and schools should be informed by this announcing department about the scholarships and in turn these colleges and schools should inform the students and see that all eligible students will apply for this scholarship.
I don't know whether such advertisements will come in all local language papers also. In villages there are many SCs who will manage their livelihood on their daily wage earnings and they may be finding it difficult to manage the studies of their children. For such families this will be useful, I feel.
