    Happy to note this change.

There are many changes happening often according to the trend and need. But really happy to see this change in point calculation being a member always on notice of it. Previously after submitting a response and edit later, the points wont change but now when i see point contribution of today changed with one point less after i delete while editing. I have not checked after editing of adding few words. Did any one noticed?

Update: points are not added if we add while editing.

I have noticed that once some points are allotted, if we add content to that by editing there will not be any change in the points. For example I submitted an answer to a thread and I got 4 points. Then I edited the same and added more content. But the points will be same.
Recently we had a contest thread a day. All the participants should give a link to their submission in the contest announcement thread. We can't post separate posts and all 12 should come in one post only. But the same points only will continue even though you add content. The points will be same for that on the first day and last day.
As you said points will reduce if you reduce the content. I also observed that point.

I did not note that earlier but if I remember correctly points never increased if you edited and increased the content in forum posts.
The feature of points decreasing with deletion appears logical and there is no issue in that.

As far as I have experienced that the points once awarded for a post remains all the same even if some content is added to make the same appealing. The alloted point can change to some extent if the content appears short from the original one after editing.
However, I haven't come across such a scenario where my ponts have been reduced.

I have also observed what Sarojah Madam has stated. If a member deletes some parts of his/her previous comment by way of editing, the points awarded get reduced. But, if the member adds something to his/her previous comments, the points awarded do not increase. The points remain the same.
However, most of the members generally edit only to correct small grammatical mistakes. So, in most of the cases, after editing, points awarded to that particular response remain unchanged.
