Why not ISC move towards affiliate marketing?

Sometime back, Tony sir was telling in the forum that Adsense rates got drastically reduced and the ISC management is looking for other alternate revenue generating sources. In the initial years of my joining, I used to see Infolink ads but not now. Though Affiliate marketing is an old concept of revenue generation, I don't understand why ISC never moved towards Affiliate marketing. Most of the good revenue generating bloggers use Affiliate marketing as their main source of revenue generation. Is there any reason for ISC in not using Affiliate marketing?

A good suggestion from the author. I read somewhere that affiliate marketing generates more revenue than Adsense. I heard that getting an affiliate link is easier than getting an Adsense account. The advertisements from affiliate marketing are more attractive, I understand. So it is good to think about affiliate marketing. However, the webmaster might have assessed this opportunity, as they are having experience in the line.
Another doubt I have is whether one site can have both AdSense as well as well as affiliate links also.
