Sharing your knowledge with others will enhance your knowledge

If we share the food that we have with others, the quantity we have will be reduced. In the same way, the money that we have will also be reduced if we share it with others. But the knowledge we have will be enhanced if we share our knowledge with others. It is like water in a well.

We all know that if a well is not used regularly, the water will become foul and can't be used by anybody. In the same way, if we keep our knowledge with us and if we never use it, it will become obsolete. Our knowledge will be enhanced if we share and discuss the same with others. So share your knowledge with others so that you will also get updated.

It is rather a good suggestion from the author's side. There are many aspects not known to us and in such situations we should not hesitate in asking queries from a learned person. Though we may hesitate initially how it will be taken by the learned man. But it might be that he would be happy with you if you make a query.
We should identify the surroundings and make friends with the equal minded people. This will produce twin effects. Our leisure time will pass comparatively apart from getting enough opportunity to share our knowledge with the friends. Such discussions will go a long way in supplementing our own knowledge.

There is an old saying that in the process of sharing knowledge one gets new learnings. That simply means that while sharing our knowledge we get some feedback and ideas from others from which we find that there are some weak spots in our knowledge that require updation.
Otherwise also sharing knowledge is a very good trait because it gives us an opportunity to revise ourselves and refresh our information base.
Interacting with each other and sharing knowledge with each other is a great way of knowledge enhancement. We must use this channel for our own benefit.

    Knowledge is power.

The author is correct. I have met such situations several times. Recently I went to a Punjabi friend's house for giving invitation of my younger brother's Sashtiyapthapoorthi. While talking he asked me whether my brother (for whom the function is arranged) has not come. I told him about the practice of our Tamil side that is giving invitations of such occasions only by elders or their son or daughter. He said okey and when we about to move I asked my brother's daughter adjoining me to bow by knee to the their elderly mother. He hold my brother's daughter and asked me alone to do so. Then he explained that female children are equal to Mahalakshmi and they are not supposed to bow others by ground touching as this same is in their practice. I came to know this only on that day.

Yes. What Ramachandran mentioned is very correct. We can learn every moment by observing others and talking to them. We should listen to what others say and we should accept only those which we feel are correct.

In my opinion, Sharing knowledge is unique—it grows when shared. Unlike food or money, when you share knowledge, it doesn't diminish; instead, it expands. Engaging and sharing with others not only enhances our own understanding but keeps our knowledge fresh and relevant.

You are very correct. Unused knowledge is like stagnated water. Stagnated water will start giving a foul smell after some time due to the impurities added to that water. As you share more and more, your knowledge will improve more and more.

In a highly competitive environment sometimes some people do not share their knowledge with others as that might prove a threat to them. But that is only in some specific cases and in general people happily share their knowledge and information with others especially within an informal and friendly group.
    Knowledge is power.

The only asset that remains with (and increases) with the giver or on who shares is knowledge.

There is a Malayalam verse by Ulloor, which says about education(knowledge) " Kodukkumthorum earidum"- increases every time you give it to others.

Sharing knowledge is the best way to make the other people learned and in this process, the person involved in sharing knowledge feels stimulated and motivated. However, let us know the other way to this aspect. We might come across some people who would not be prepared to share their knowledge with any one since they remain under impression that their generosity might affect their career if the person/ persons around him is benefited from his knowledge and expertise. He might be a threat to his advancement in terms of promotion and personal skills. This sort of attitude hovering over his mind would not allow him to be frank in course of formal discussions. However, such persons are exceptional and hence we should not be afraid of sharing our knowledge to the others if they are interested to be benefited with our expertise.
