Could we post on Social Village site?

    Hello everyone in ISC,

Can I post articles on SocialVillage.in currently? Are you editing the articles posted on SocialVillage as I am eager to contribute in that section, but expect some cash credit.

    Pls clarify

    With regards,

You can post your articles on the site Social Village. You will get points but I am not very clear about cash credits. These days the activity on that site is very less. Even the Webmaster who was very active earlier stopped posting there. I don't have any idea about the reasons for the same. There are no freshly opened threads either. Knowledge centre there is not active and ISC is having better activity than SV. But there you can post on any topic and need not restrict yourself to education and its related fields. You can try posting there. I wish you all the best.
There are editors who will edit the articles and only articles that are approved by them will appear there. All sections there also are monitored and no spam is allowed there.

Yes, you can post the articles on Social Village but remember that you will only receive points for submitting the articles. The site is not generating much amount of revenue, hence no cash credit would be provided for submitting the article.

We hope we will get cash credit also for submitting the articles at social village.

    Honesty is the best policy.

As far as I remember, there was a message of the webmaster indicating that any articles not related to the educational content can be posted in the social village site and in case of its approvals, the members would be rewarded some points. However, regarding the cash - credit, I am not sure of it.
It could be a matter of great relief to many of us that this site is ideal for those interested to post any topics not connected with the educational system and this might be a great succour to the members.

Social Village site is basically to have general discussion on all contemporary topics. However, very few are interested in that site. We can hardly read two posts in a day on that site. Further, the abrupt deletion of posts has been started in that site also although very few digital footprints can be seen there.

Social village is a general site and we can post materials related to a variety of topics there. Every month there is a theme based or topic based contest also in which the members can participate by writing on that topic. The winning entries are also allowed some cash credits.
In my experience social village is an ideal site for improving one's creative faculties and writing potential. One can submit articles also there.
Right now cash credits are given in a limited way in social village site but I am sure that if more number of members contribute there regularly then in a few months time the site will have good amount of traffic and cash credits would also follow.
If more members try in that direction then we all would be benefited in long run.

    Knowledge is power.

There is a gap between 'theory and practice' as far I observe in Social Village site.

Social Village site is a few years old. Even from its start there was no clarity in policy and there was no pragmatic correlation between policy and practice. During the transition period of ISC becoming a focused Educational channel, many loyal ISCians were feeling a sense of loss and belonging. It was then felt (and there was some attempt also) that SV was the right place for those generalist ISCians to migrate and continue .

Many erstwhile IScians joined SV. And it appeared SV may take off well. But again, the seriousness was not there as expected from the channel side and the nascent enthusiasm soon wilted and waned.

A site which should have filled with activity -especially by way of forum discussions; and also with a well participated knowledge centre- was to end as a deserted place. Naturally even those with positivity started feeling dejected and passive and became evasive.

It all now depends what the SV site establishment has in its mind and whether the site is running as expected by them. The members have not much in this regard, other than visiting the site at random or periodically and update with what is happening.

    Hi all,

You may continue to post articles on SocialVillage but as of now, we do not have editors to actively edit the content. There may be some delays in approvals but I can assure you that it will be edited sooner or later.
