    Must Read Books for 2024!

To begin with, I am Shruti Choraria, a graduate in Accounting and Finance. I am an Alternate Investment Manager, and pursuing CFA (L2) and CA Finals (due next year). My work experience spans various domains - Finance, Restructuring and Reorganization, Corporate Taxation, and Investment Banking. I also run my blog on WordPress. I am more into lifestyle and inspired by my parents, Luke Coutinho, and Mark Manson.

In this section, I would want fellows to know that apart from academic education, self-education is equally important.

    1. The Shoe Dog: It will change the way you look at experience and perseverance. Given the world we live in, there will only be a few people who would believe in you and help you scale, since the majority are consumed with the idea of "I need to be better than this person".

    2. The Power of NOW: Mindfulness is something that the generation of today and the future generations must practice. We have all been so swamped in our lives that we don't live in the present at all, and being present teaches you how to live.

    3. The Psychology of Money: This book explores the complicated relationship between money and human behavior, and how to make money work for you.

    4. Atomic Habits: This book will teach you how habits compound to results over time. It will be difficult to maintain a good habit, but it will be worth it! Humans tend to fall prey easily to bad habits, and we must be mindful that we are a product of which habits and values.

    Shruti Choraria,

Wishing you a warm welcome to our special family! With your academic background in finance and expertise on allied topics, we'll be happy to see your contributions to the articles section and our new Knowledge Center, such as those related to careers in the field, exam preparations, etc. Please go through all the red-pinned threads at the top of the forum to familiarize yourself with ISC's guidelines and policies.

Coming to the topic of this thread, it would be good if you mentioned the author of each book. I have read the first one by Phil Knight and enjoyed reading about the progress of Nike and how the swoosh symbol, one of the most easily identifiable symbols associated with the brand, came into being. A must-read book! I also had come across a snippet that the book would be made into a film by Netflix, but I think the date of its release has not yet been announced so far.

Welcome Shruti to this educational portal and I wish you to contribute here effectively and for a long time. You have shared some books which are not only helpful in increasing the knowledge of the people but they are in a way motivational and encourage people to move ahead in their lives.
Those who are interested in reading these books or any other interesting books, today there are many options in the internet and ebooks and audible books are easily available. Many of them are free and others are reasonably priced. Some people who want to read more are subscribing to internet services like Amazon Kindle and others like that in order to get more books available for reading on a monthly payment basis.

    Knowledge is power.
