Closing 2023 with a Photo-based Creative Writing Story contest!
Let's say adieu to 2023 with a bang! It's been ages since you participated in a creative story contest, isn't it? Well, with the admin's permission, we are announcing a photo-based story contest with cash awards and we hope to see a good response. Editors are welcome to participate, but, as it is for all contests, those who do so will not be part of the jury panel.What you have to do: Write a story based on this photo-
It is suggested to open the photo in a separate Tab so that you can see it more clearly in its entirety.
You have a blank canvas and can write in any genre, whether a mystery, a sci-fi, or a comedy. You can include conversations/dialogues and as many characters as you want. Try to write something unique and creative and not the same type that you have submitted in earlier contests. You have sufficient time to draft the story, fine-tune it, and submit it, so take your time and give us the best story you have ever written!
The Guidelines-
1. Only one entry per member is allowed, and the story should be in English only with no links.
2. Give a relevant title to the story. The story should not be over-lengthy, restricted to a maximum of 700 words (excluding the title). You can make changes to correct errors in spelling, grammar, etc before the contest closing date, but do not change the core of the story.
3. Do not use SMS-type short words, slang, or any other kind of inappropriate words. Do not make references to medicines, drugs, weapons, and the kind.
4. Submit the story in the forum in the category of About India Study Channel >> Creative Writing.
5. After you submit the story, give a URL to it in response to this thread so that it will be considered as an entry for this contest.
6. At the end of your story, give a link to this announcement thread so that others are aware that it is a contest entry.
The Rewards-
1. One first prize- Rs. 150/-
2. One second prize- Rs. 100/-
If there are more worthy entries, then one consolation prize of Rs.50/- will be awarded. Based on quality and if worthy, non-winning entries will get enhanced points and a few cash credits.
The last date to submit the story is 31st December 2023.
