Should students in higher classes teach the students of lower classes to revise their knowledge?

The students who are studying in higher classes can spare some time to teach the students in the lower classes. Some students from poor families do it as a necessity to earn some money for their own studies but others can do it from another perspective as such tutoring would help the students to revise and recollect their learnings in earlier classes.
Though the students studying in higher classes do not get time for such activities of teaching the students of lower classes but if they find a little time for that then it is possible to do so and the benefits of revising basic questions and answers can be achieved.
What do you think about this? Will such a thing help the senior students? Please share your views.

I heard that students going abroad for higher studies will be given a chance to work as teaching assistants in some institutes. They will be compensated suitably so that their expenses for staying there will be taken care of. In some private engineering colleges, students doing their M Tech/ ME are asked to take practical or theory classes to UG students. This will be helpful to seniors to get some money as well and they will be in touch with the subject also. If they are good at the subject and teaching, juniors will also have no problem.
Some intelligent students in the 10th class or 12th class may be entrusted with teaching work to 6th-class or 7th-class students. However, some senior teachers should keep observing them so that they can assess the teaching abilities of the students and train them so that their teaching skills will improve.
My granddaughter who is in first standard teaches some rhymes to LKG students. The teacher will observe her and fine-tune the lesson after she completes it. It is common practice in that school.

I agree with the author that the teaching opportunities must be extended to the students interested to go abroad for the persuasion of their higher studies. There are a lot of institutions in our countries providing higher education in the areas of the management, engineering, medical and other fields where the students going to abroad must be given assignments with the suitable perks for their coaching in the premier colleges of their areas of specialisations so that they can raise their funds to meet their financial expenses in the abroad.
However, the caution is needed to ensure their competence at the same time with the close observance of their potential status.
It should be applicable to other senior students also of middle and secondary schools where the education should go without any dislocations in the event of teacher's shortage. The school management should identify the capable senior students and allow them to take up classes for junior classes for the benefits of both the junior students and the senior students engaged for teaching. The seniors would get the chance of fine tuning of the lessons taught in the past.

I think that those students who can afford to spare some time for this type of work must consider it as an option to strengthen their basic knowledge of the various subjects and topics in which they are capable of teaching to the students of lower classes. This is a win-win situation and an activity where both the parties are benefited.
    Knowledge is power.
