Revisions are the enablers for a good memory

Many students have problems remembering their lessons pertaining to the various subjects that they study in their school or college. It is obvious that there are so many things to remember and it is not possible for a student to remember everything that he reads or studies. It is also a fact that some students have better memory as compared to others but it also depends on the interest and liking of a particular student as it is believed that people remember what they like or what fascinates them.

One thing that I have learned from my own experience is that students who do not have a very good memory can revise or repeat their lessons or topics to keep them in their memory for a long time. Revising themes multiple Times is a great enabler for memorizing them and that certainly helps in school in more in the examination.

The contents posted by the author is definitely a valuable tip for the student community. Normally what happens that the texts read by the students with a great concentration remain in their minds for sometime but ultimately they tend to forget in absence of the repetitive revision. It is very natural that the lessons once read cannot be retained for long since the students read multiple lessons on the same day and their indulgence for varied learning of the different subjects disturb them the most.
Hence they should take the utmost care to revise the lessons time to time to ensure that they have fully grasped the lessons which have been read earlier. The easiest formula to retain the lessons is to take interest in the process of revision. The fact is that the multiple revisions of the same thing is the less time consuming since the consecutive revisions of the same process would ultimately to be an effortless process to retain them in their memories.

That is true. Revising or repeating many times will make the student remember the things for a long.
My elder sister was grasping the subject very fast. By going through the subject once or twice she used to catch the subject's essence and then she used to write on her own. So she was completing the portions quickly. My younger sister was a little slow in remembering things. So she used to repeat the subject many times and hence took more time to complete her portions.
All students will not have the same memory power. Based on their memory power they have to plan their studies. I may require 6 hours to complete a chapter whereas another person may require only 3 hours, So I should not compare with that person's timetable. I should have my timetable, which will give me a better chance to remember my subject.

I had interest in Mathematics subject during my college days but it seemed to me quite a tough area and I was just thinking how to cope up with that. My teacher told me that there was no substitute for revisions and try to go through the problems as many times as possible. Depending on the availability of time I tried to do the same thing and finally I scored good in it but not in other subjects because I did not give sufficient time to them.
    Knowledge is power.

I fully agree that for ordinary students revision is the only course of action. More number of times one revises a chapter more it gets engraved in the memory. I also feel that intelligent and sharp minds would require less number of revisions.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

I agree with the author that revisions are essential for creating a strong and lasting memory. When we revise the information, it repeats in our brain again and again. This process is similar to how muscles become stronger when we exercise them regularly. The more we revise, the easier it will be for us to recall the information later.

In addition to strengthening our memory, revisions can also help us to identify and correct any errors or misunderstandings that we may have had the first time around. As we go over the material again, we may notice things that we didn't see before, or we may realize that we have misinterpreted something. This is a valuable opportunity to learn from our mistakes and to improve our understanding of the topic.

So, revisions are a powerful tool for improving our memory and learning. In my opinion, revision is the key to study or learning.

    Honesty is the best policy.
