Students not interested in their studies should be guided properly for other traits

Every student is not good in academics. Only a few can achieve high scores and marks. Those who are not interested in studies can be having other interests and can pursue other traits. Sometimes these students get success in non-academic areas of their interests and shine in a business.
Generally, the students who don't take interest in studies are considered negligent and blamed for their such tendencies. No one treats them sympathetically and guide them for making their career in some other line.
In my view such students should be given a special care by the parents, teachers or other senior people in the society so that they are guided properly and can get success in a particular area may be some self employment.

Usually, the students who do not score higher marks are neglected by teachers and even parents are constantly pestering them to studies. Their other good traits are not considered. Parents and teachers should properly guide such students to make them successful. A student who is weak in academics can become a good sportsman, artist, poet etc. Parents should be firm-minded when raising their child. They should be proud of their good traits and should always encourage. They should not pressurize their child to score higher marks, but should guide them to score minimum marks if they are not able to pass the test.

It is really a good post where we are thinking for such students who are performing poorly in their academic studies. After all, they are the product of a renowned school and hence the responsibility lies with the school to develop them in their areas of their interest. Their hobbies might be carpentry, drawing, cricket or football playing or other activities with which they can earn a respectable income later on.
If the school management keeps an eye for such students providing them training in such courses, it could turn their lives into better ones in their adulthood.

I think we have discussed this subject many times on this platform. Anyhow, it is a good topic indeed. A parent should understand the interest of his/her child and see that she will be given special coaching in that line so that, the child will be successful.
Tendulkar is not very good at academics. But exceptionally talented in cricket. Had his father or mother discouraged him and not allowed him to play cricket, we might not have seen such a great player. There are many such examples we can mention.
A parent should take the help of teachers and understand the field in which the child is interested. I used to like Chemistry from my childhood. My father asked me to join in Engineering but I told him that I wanted to do chemistry. He accepted and admitted me to UG in chemistry after my intermediate.
So we should see in which area the child is showing some interest and encourage him to get the best result.

It is true that when children are not interested in their studies then parents become worried and sad about that and many times force their children to focus and concentrate in the studies. Most of the parents believe that it is only after good studies that children can score high and then get admission in good courses and are able to make a career.
I feel that parents should come out of this mind set and take up the situation with open mind and seeing the today's job environment
    around.
It make sense to help the student to progress in an area in which he or she is interested.

    Knowledge is power.

I agree with the author that all students are not good in academics and do not score high in the examination but nowadays the parents do not understand it. They pressured the students to study and get good marks in the examination. We need to understand the psychology of the students. In my opinion, the career counselling is the best option for the students. The counsellor will perform some tests like psychometric tests and according to the test result, he will suggest the best option for the student. We know that every student is unique and we cannot treat all the students in the similar way.
    Honesty is the best policy.

Not only for the students not interested in their studies but also for every children there is a hidden talent in them. This the parents should observe through friendly talking with them.
A friend of mine have two daughters, twins, both of them very good in education but more than that they are having good interest in vocal music with a good voice. He, the father, made them joined in vocal training and now both of them are in the top list of vocal singers in Tamil Nadu. As well they are taking online classes on vocal music and earned a good name, fame and money. For their marriage without giving much difficult to the parents they accumulated a good volume of amount. By the side, they privately pursued their education also.
This is really a proud for the parents.
This only can be observed by the parents and family persons by talking with the children in a friendly manner. I have seen in some houses, the parents are neglecting their hidden talents by means of the poor interest in education or some times they pour harsh words on them on seeing their special efforts by indicating the poor interest in education.
