    What makes a country to grow and become stronger?

    There are a number of countries in the world and they have their own governing system and rules & regulations for running it. But they also depend on other countries for trade and exchange of goods and have to keep good commercial relations with them.

    Some countries have good manufacturing facilities and produce a good amount of items which can be sold in domestic as well as foreign markets. Apart from that some countries have better natural resources than others. These factors help a country to develop and grow and come up on the international stage.

    There are many other factors and parameters from which we can judge where a country stands in the international arena. What in your opinion are the main things that help a country to grow and become stronger?

    The author has asked about some of the vital parameters that need to be followed for strengthening the country. There are numerous such factors as indicated below-
    1) If the Geological Survey Survey indicates that the country has an abundance of reserves of coal and other minerals such as Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron ore etc and the same are extracted on a commercial scale to benefit the country in terms of revenues, there would be the sustained growth of the country.
    2) The workforce should be laborious and dedicated enough to understand the process of extraction in the most economical way so that the resources are not unnecessarily wasted.
    3) The government should not lag behind in the utilisation of precious resources.
    4) Wherever possible, the finished products should be dispatched immediately to the end consumers so as to get immediate payment by way of selling the products.
    5) The ultimate products have the demand in both, the domestic and international markets so that the final products are delivered immediately to the customers.

    The strength and development of a nation depends on various parameters and the main resources that are responsible for the growth are as follows.
    1. Human resources: The country should have trained and committed human resources to see that their country will progress positively. Every citizen of the country should keep in mind the progress of the country in addition to their progress. Then we will see good progress.
    2. Natural Resources: The country should have sufficient natural resources so that it will have many chances for trading with other countries which will allow it to get good foreign exchange reserves.
    3. Good Governance: The people in power should sincerely work for the progress of the country. They should not have any selfish motives behind their work. They should see that employment opportunities will increase in their country and all people will get equal chances to earn and create wealth.

    A country having good production of agricultural products and also good production of manufactured products will be prosperous but that only will not suffice until it has got a good defense system to protect it from the aggressive and expansionist neighbours.
    Besides that a powerful Govt coupled with good practices is also required to make the country outstand in international scenario.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

    My mother used to tell us a story. One person who visited a city asked the person who came in his sight, whether the city is good. The man replied, 'If your tongue is good the city is good'.

    Similarly to make our country grow and become stronger the main point is 'we', the citizens. Have you ever seen any foreign persons working in our country by leaving their country? But we bring up our children with the motive of foreign education and employment from their childhood. If we are not ready to serve our Nation, who else?

    We ourselves should adopt systematic approaches to keeping our city clean and thereby our Nation. We should not waste our resources on any situation - as we can see daily that many people drop food into dustbins as waste. Many food items like sambar chutney covers are splashing on the roads - instead, we can avoid taking them from hotels when packing.

    In many ration shops I have seen rice spread out - why and what prevents the buyers from taking them with proper care and bags? It is simple food waste and did we realize any time what difficulty a farmer faces to grow the plant?

    Such simple steps, if every citizen follows themselves the country automatically grow well and strong.
