Is it possible to have same syllabus in schools and colleges across the world?

We are living in a modern age and are enjoying scientific and technological advancements in all spheres of our lives. People are moving across the globe from one country to another and switching jobs. The whole world appears to be a single entity and we all are virtually connected all the time.

In such a situation should we not have a similar syllabus in all the schools and colleges in the world so that students do not have difficulties in moving from one place to another? Is it possible to do so? What are your opinions about it?

There are common syllabuses across the world. Some schools are offering IB Board syllabi. International schools offer this syllabus also. I read somewhere that the number of schools offering IB programmes as of March 2023, has increased by 7,800 programmes in over 5,600 schools throughout 159 nations.
There are different boards in India itself. CBSE, State Board and many more. Parents go through the syllabus and select the best for their children. There is no single nation with only one common syllabus in all the schools in their country.
Maintaining the same syllabus in all the schools across the world is very difficult. If any parent wants his/ her ward to study the best syllabus available, he/ she should check various syllabuses that are available and should go for the most suitable to his ward.
The selection can be made based on the aspirations of the individual.

A good thought but I think there are practical limitations in implementing such an idea on the international scale. In our country itself, there are a variety of syllabi under different systems and though the main syllabus might not be much different from each other, the way the syllabus is organised and taught may look different.

In the new NEP policy, there are possibilities and scope of unifying the educational system and putting the same syllabus across all the schools and colleges in our country, but that will take some time because of so many practical aspects to be resolved at the lower level.
Once that is attained on the national level then only we can think of talking about it at some international level maybe like a United Nations forum, where such things can be taken up for opinions of the member countries and modalities can be found out.

    Knowledge is power.

The idea of the author is fine but there are certain limitations forcing us not to go ahead with such a planning. Even in our country, the different examination systems are prevailing such as the Board Examinations of the different states apart from the CBSE and ISC Board to conduct the their board assessments. Strangely even in the evaluation system of these systems don't follow a uniform syllabus and as a result of this, there is a wide gap of the patterns of the syllabus of the each board.
We are talking about the NEP system vigorously for the unification of the different examination strategies but let us see how it is taking its final shape for the benefits of the students. Hope the upcoming system would take care of simplifying the existing system to make it more uniform one.
