    Is this relaxation permanent?

Many of you might be trying to relax your mind after a hectic day outside. The pressure of work in your office/workplace or the thoughts that are making you worried at times are not letting you settle down and you look for a way out. Then after reaching home, you find ways to relax the mind. Some watch programs on television, some listen to their favourite numbers, some engage themselves in their hobbies and so on. These are good and effective ways as we all wish to stay relaxed. But is the state of relaxation permanent? After waking up in the morning and starting the next day many of us face the same issues that make us stressed and then again we look for relaxation. The stress level has increased a lot for many throughout the world and because of this, people are finding numerous ways to stay relaxed. The important thing here is the relaxation which is cyclic and temporary. It is like heating up an element during a particular time regularly and then cooling it down. How long the element may last in such a condition and does this temporary relaxation help us in the long run?

In this scenario, what are your suggestions to stay relaxed all the time?

This is an interesting post by the author. Yes we all have periods of stress and relaxation one after another and this is in fact is the rhythm of our lives. After a hectic day who will not require to relax? Even during the hectic day there are small pauses here and there which act like a mini relaxation during that activity.
Stress is invitable. Whenever we work, whenever we aspire for improvement, and whenever we desire a favourable result bouts of stress will automatically rise in our minds.
It is said that the stress cannot be avoided and so it has to be managed. Relaxation, rest, and entertainment are the only major ways of fighting stress and reducing it temporarily.
It is not necessary that for reducing the stress we have to simply rest and waste our time. There are many creative and constructive ways to reduce stress and one of the most powerful technique is to engage in hobbies. Creative hobbies are great way to relax one's mind and reduce stress levels and bring a feeling of satisfaction and achievement in life.

A very thought-provoking thread from Sankalan Sir. However, I differ from him. Sankalan Sir concluded by asking: ".....what are your suggestions to stay relaxed all the time?"

My answer to this question is: A person can never be relaxed all the time. It is not desirable also. There are some tasks for which the release of adrenaline hormone is essential, i.e. a little bit of tension is essential to face such situations.

Being tense is human nature and to be relaxed always won't be possible, I would say. A few may not be bothered if at all any situation arises. Most people relax after hectic work at home or office or business/official travel. I would like to be active more than relaxed for a long time throughout my life and I hope so because of my adrenaline mechanism. Reading and watching good movies is my relaxing time at present and at times, I spend time in roof gardening. As Mr. Umesh has mentioned stress is unavoidable in our routine life. I feel to take it on a lighter note permanent relaxation would be only after death and that is why we post condolence messages, "Rest in peace."

I think better planning of our work may reduce stress on us and we can be relaxed during our working hours also. I have seen some people who will never get stressed. They plan their work, delegate the works which are to be delegated and then execute the work as planned. They never get stressed about the work to be completed.
Another aspect is not to take up more work than we can do. We can stretch a little but not too much. People used to say don't run and exhaust yourselves for drinking milk. Be happy with the water you get to drink. That contentment will give us a better relaxation.
Too much stress for some time and then too much relaxation for some time is never advisable. The body will be exposed to extreme conditions in such situations and it will get aged fast, I feel. If we enjoy our work, I think we will get permanent relaxation.

It is better to be cool from the inside. Always separate your work and family life. Relaxation depends on the type of stress. If you are stressed due to a load of work then the relaxation is permanent but if the stress is due to any problem then find a solution. If you could find the solution, you would be relaxed permanently.

No, relaxation is not permanent always but it can be managed well with the carful plannings. More over, it is a part of the individual nature. There are certain persons taking every care of the successful completion of the tasks considering the essential points to carry out the job successfully. That is all and they would not go beyond that.
There are others who remain stressed at all the points till the final result emerges. This implies that they are tuned to keep themselves stressed but the other set of the people would not think of that levels. They would try even to be peaceful in the leisure hours.

It is a normal human tendency to relax after work. Only difference is that some people relax after long hours of working while others relax in between a number of times. So basically it depends on the stamina of that person as how long one can go on working without taking rest.

Generally, the cycles of working and relaxing will alternate with each other. But in some people because of higher activity level the relaxing period will be small while in some lazy persons it will be longer. From the active and rest period lengths we can find the activity level of a person.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
