Suggest to add advanced options in Knowledge center

    Respected Webmaster,

I request or suggest you add the advanced option of leaving a message to editors as in the Articles section in the knowledge center too while answering questions.

I have posted a few answers in the knowledge center, but they were moved to pending status twice, asking to mention the last date for applying. I have already stated in the article that " the last date was not mentioned on the official site, but applications are open now". I want to share the same with the editor. But there was no option to add any note to the editor as in the article section. So, I request you to add this option in the Knowledge Center too. So that we can leave a message to the editor when required.

    Thanking you,
    Ramya

I have also posted a similar thread on 29 November. My suggestion has been forwarded to Tony sir. Let us wait for the webmaster's reply.

I agree with the author that the advance option should be added in KC section also.

We may not be able to talk to the editor who reviewed the answer. But we can send an email to the Webmaster or the Managing Editor or Lead Editor by going to their profile page.
The suggestion from the author is good and if this suggestion is implemented we all can send message to the editor who reviewed our answer in the Knowledge Centre. Last time when such a suggestion came, the matter was sent to the Webmaster but no further action in that subject.
Let us hope this matter will again be put up to the Webmaster and necessary action or answers will come from the Webmaster. These days activity in the Knowledge Centre also came down. I don't know the reasons for the same.

So far as I have felt that the editor concerned for the evaluation of the postings in this section evaluates a single article though multiple articles are ready to be evaluated. The next session of the evaluation would take place after a week.
In that way, there is the scope of evaluation of maximum 4 or 5 postings in a month in the KC Centre. This trend does not appear to be healthy one and needs to be reviewed to augment the traffic flow of this section.

Right now we are seeing the comments of the editor under the 'detail' tab and correcting or improving our post accordingly. But that does not help if we want to communicate with the editor.
Another aspect is that there are limited number of editors and whether they will be able to give time to communicate with each and every member for all those posts which require improvement or correction. And how that communication is going to bring some new dimension to the suggested corrections.
Let us wait for the response of the webmaster in the matter.

I am new to the knowledge centre but I have visited there and gone through some approved posts. What I found is that though these posts are smaller but they are comparable in quality and other aspects to the articles posted in article section by the various members. Earlier, I had also written many articles which were posted and got published. But every time there were some suggestions and corrections asked by the editor which I did and finally the article was published in a good shape.
I think for knowledge centre postings also the editors are checking them as they are checking the article submissions. So we can expect suggestions and corrections every time before it is accepted for publishing. For those members who are taking full care of their post there may not be any observation and post will be published without any correction sought.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

One more thing I would like to add, like in the Ask Expert section, we should have an unanswered questions filter in the Knowledge Center too. I find it so hard to search for questions that were not answered. Every time I need to open every question and see whether it is answered or not. (We can answer already answered questions, but I like to answer unanswered questions.)

Editing also takes so much time than before. That was leading to less participation by members, in my opinion.

Ramya and Hakimuddin, the Webmaster has intimated that he will take steps to introduce the message to editor facility in the KC section (for answers only) soon. The other suggestion by Ramya will also be considered.

As for the delay in editing part, please check out this thread and help the editors to do their job faster.
