How many times you check and recheck your submissions?

Whenever we are writing an article or a forum post or answer to a query or a post in knowledge centre then after completing it we are checking it. Most of us are using grammarly or any other similar app for checking the punctuation and other minor mistakes in our write up. Such apps are very helpful and improve our write up.

Anyway, my observation is that whenever I check or recheck my post or article whatever it is then again and again I find a small mistake here and there - may be a missing comma, or a wrong spelling, or anything of that sort which affects the quality of our write up. What are the experiences of the members in this regard?

I regularly check my submissions; sometimes to edit my mistakes, but mainly for other reasons.

On ISC, I check my submissions to see whether my politically incorrect views or 'uneducational' posts got deleted, or not.

On some other sites, I check whether my submissions are appreciated and debated, or not. For example, I have just now written a post on my current favourite Holywood actress, Gal Gadot somewhere with some eye-popping pictures of this Israel-born actress. I am checking whether the matter is being discussed and pictures are being appreciated, or not.

It happens to me also. I check at least two times before I submit my article or Knowledge Centre answer. But sometime after submitting the same I read and found some small mistakes as mentioned by the author. Mainly I miss typing words. While typing I will be thinking about the next word and in that process, I miss one or two words sometimes. As far as my forum answers or submissions are concerned I read them at least once before submit. I use Grammarly. Even then sometimes we may find some mistakes.
I think we should read word by word and see the spelling of each word. But generally when we read by seeing the first and the last word we assume the word. Many of us do the same thing. We should not read but we should proofread the matter. Each letter is to be seen and correction is to be made I think. We should spare sufficient time and read the matter word by word and letter by letter.

Even after checking my post or article many times I find that there are some mistakes left there. Generally these will be of minor nature like a missing comma, a missing letter, and many times an incorrect preposition.
It is always better to check our post at least one or two times so that most of the mistakes can be corrected. Grammarly is also a good tool and using that is very useful.
Another thing is that we have to avoid long sentences and write our content using small sentences. Then chances of mistakes will be less.

    Knowledge is power.
