    Problem of migrants and refugees

Many people migrate from one country to another either through the official routes or in illegal ways in search of jobs and better livelihood. Further, during wars and conflicts many people move from the war affected areas to the nearby cities either in their own country or in the neighbouring countries and in the process become refugees.
The problem of settlement of migrants and refugees is a big challenge across the world. In many cases their number is so large that they cannot be sent back and settle in the generous countries getting shelter and basic amenities. As there are cultural differences between the people of one place with another many times there is conflict between these migrants and the local original inhabitants of the countries. What is the solution for this problem? In what way these people can be tackled?

Illegal migration should not be encouraged and no sympathy should be shown towards such illegal immigrants. They should follow the rules and regulations and enter into another country through proper channels. If any illegal migrants come into our contact we should bring the same to the notice of the concerned authorities. These authorities will take necessary actions and see that they will go back to their country. Illegal migrants cause a lot of financial losses to our country.
Migrants will have some problems initially in settling down in the new environment. The local people in society should help them and see that they will settle well in this new environment. Refugees should be taken care of by the government and see that they will be comfortable and they should be sent back after the disturbance in their country comes to an end. If our citizens from other countries come back to India, they will be treated as Indian citizens only.

If we go through the history of the world then we will find that migration or movement of people from one place to another takes place mainly because of the economic difference between two countries and of course at the time of war when they have to move out as refugees. Sometimes many countries do not allow these people in their area and these people are then kept in a camp somewhere at the boundary of two countries and then United Nation starts taking care of them. So migrants face a lot of hardships in their lives. We often come across the news of some bad plight of illegal migrants while trying to enter a country through sea route and their ordinary boat or small ship getting problems on the way and sinks down killing a number of migrants crowded on that boat.
No one wants to be a migrant by choice. Generally poverty drives them out of their countries to neighbouring countries where there are prospects of good jobs and better earnings. Illegal migrants are the biggest problem today for the whole world.
