Can you suggest some courses for retired people?

Many salaried people in government or private organisations retire at the age of around 60 years as per the regulations in their organisations, collect their funds and retirement benefits and leave the organisation. Some who are still active and want to work join some consulting or advisory jobs in companies which is of a part-time nature. Some just sit in their houses and spend their time leisurely spending on travelling, hobbies, and other interesting things.

There are some people who are interested to learn some new thing even at that age. What could be some courses or training that these people can undergo online or offline? Can you suggest something? Today many courses are even free to learn on some reputed popular websites.

Courses for the retired people would depend upon their qualifications and passion for the subject they liked earlier but they could not proceed due their service life. If the retired professionals have the friend circles having their inclinations for the different hobbies, it could be a favourable period for the entire group.
One of my friends, though good in palmistry and astrology but due to his job involvement, he lacked that much expertise. After the retirement, he devoted himself to this subject full time and finally he earned a good reputation in this field within a year. He is now a busy professional in this area. In Bokaro Steel, he gets a lot of offers from the top officials to forecast their future. Sometimes, he has to decline some of such offers.

After retirement, many people change their attention towards spiritual activities. They start reading our standard ethical books like Mahabharat, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita etc. and spend their time in spiritual discourses with their friends and relatives of the same age. This will give them a lot of knowledge about the literature. So using this as an advantage they can think of doing UG or PG or PhD in their mother tongue or any other language they like. My sister did her MA in Sanskrit after her retirement as a Hindi teacher. Now she is planning to go for M Phil or PhD in Hindi.
If we are interested learning Vaastu and astrology during this period is also very useful. It will be helpful in two ways. We can practise and guide people who are interested and also helpful to earn some money if we want. Doing a certificate course in digital marketing may also be helpful to the individuals.

It is said that if there is a will there is a way. So the retired people who want to acquire some knowledge or undergo some training or course can surely go for it. Most of the retired people generally go for their hobbies and pursue them full time as they get sufficient time after retirement.
Today many websites are offering many basic courses in many subjects free of charge and one can take advantage of that for learning an appropriate subject of one's choice.
There are many other options and possibilities like learning a language, learning music, practicing singing, learning about one's culture and religion, etc.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

".....some courses for retired people"-----------As I am going to retire in another 3 years 8 months, I am trying to find out the answer to this question. I have already raised a thread mentioning my interest in calligraphic writing. I have some other detailed planning and target to keep myself extremely busy after retirement. I will not want to discuss all these now.

However, I would advise retired people or those who are on the verge of retirement, to chose courses or plan in accordance with their areas of interest. For example, those who have academic bent of mind, can give tuition both online and offline. This is monetarily very lucrative and intellectually satisfying also.
