It is really nice to play the chemical bonds.

Tody being valentines day which is supposed to celebrate bonding, Google has come with special doodle in the form play with chemical bonding. We have studied many such bonding in chemistry with two elements joined to give another chemical like nitrogen and oxygen nitrogen oxide, hydrogen and oxide as water, sodium and chlorine to give sodium chloride etc.,

Please play and share your experience here.

I too have seen this Google Doodle. I tried to play for a little time. I have answered the questions it has asked. The resultant is Hydrogen and it has shown many bonds that Hydrogen forms. Hydrogen has a unique bonding known as Hydrogen Bond.
Hydrogen bonding is a special bond which will form due to dipole-dipole attraction between molecules. A hydrogen atom bonded to a very electronegative atom will form a bond with another atom like N, O or F. This bond will attach to molecules together with hydrogen on one side and another electro-negative atom on the other side,
It is good on the part of Google to show this chemical bonding on Valentine's Day. Two atoms of different elements attract each other and get married to give new compounds. This is also a type of love between two different atoms. This bonding can be between atoms of the same element to form molecules.

Yes Dr Rao it is really a nice play for chemistry lovers and also they have brought this unique bonding on the valentine's day. Hope more members play and enjoy this bonding. Then and there too it is giving some sort of update and the bonding and explanation that gives is really worth watchful.

Yes, Google has given an interesting doodle today on Valentine day. I have also tried bonds using Cl and then O. They have made it quite simple and I think that children of primary classes will have much fun with that. Chemical bonds are the rudimentary cohesive force between the elements to form molecules which are the building blocks of compounds. The concept of chemical bonds is one of the most important chapter in Chemistry and many things can be explained with that. In Organic Chemistry bonding between elements is crucial in characterisation of a molecule because change in type of bonding itself changes the character of the material.
    Knowledge is power.

Google doodles cover a variety of topics and sometimes they are educational in their nature. This one appears to belong to that category.
By displaying the combination of elements to form molecules or substances would invoke interest in the students of science. The students of chemistry will definitely appreciate such doodles.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Chemical bonding is something different where both the participants will lose their identity and come out as a new compound or material. But in humans, it is something different. Here both will not lose their identity but they have to merge both their ideas and come to a common idea and continue their living.
Chemicals will not have any ethics and morals. A chemical can leave its counterpart and form a new compound with another chemical. But as humans, we should not think about such recombinations. On Valentine day both the lovers should resolve their issue and decide to live together forever.

haha @Dr.Rao. Yes it is true. For each element it has given 3 options to bond like mono bond double bond and even self bond. But while playing it has given many instructions explanations which are really interesting and useful to students in Chemistry. After finishing only I felt I have not saved them in the interest of play.

    @ Sarojah
All elements will not form all types of Bonds. Double bonds and triple bonds will be possible only with elements like N and C. Oxygen can form double bonds. N and C can form triple bonds. It all depends on the valency electrons that are available in the atoms of the element.

    Yes @Dr.Rao

It said if we select the elements for double bond that does not exist and that is why if you see the picture N2 F2 etc takes self bonding and there may be different combinations if we play again it seems but it ended with 18 such bonds. That is why i said i missed those explanations while concentrating play only enthusiastically. Thank you @ Rao it is like recalling my Chemistry in higher secondary and also the teacher.
