Will it generate new job opportunities for the qualified people?

A private American company has achieved a historic feat by landing a spacecraft on Moon. The spacecraft named Odysseus was built by the company - Intuitive Machines.
The spacecraft landed on the moon at around 6:23 p.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday (22.02.3024). It landed near the lunar South Pole.
This is being seen as a big achievement by a private company and may arouse interest and competition to many other companies who are engaged in space research and space programs. Will this open a new area of job opportunities for the qualified persons in that area? What are your views on this?

This is definitely a marvelous attempt on the part of the scientists with such experimentation.
To what extent, the country, the US, benefited is the important part to be discussed. I think it is an excellent endeavor but let us think of the number of scientists available in the area of space research. Very few would enjoy their job absorption. However, it appears that it is a significant achievement.

If private companies enter in the space research and space project programs then definitely it will create some jobs for the qualified people especially the students of Engineering and Space Sciences like Astrophysics.
If the technology is well developed then there is a scope of space tourism also, where the people who can afford it, will pay for a voyage in space. Such developments will generate some specialised employment for technical people.
These companies will also require high quality electrical, mechanical, and electronic components and assemblies which can withstand the low temperature conditions in the space. So there is a good scope for ancillary units to develop alongwith this ambitious space exploration area providing a variety of employment to the suitable people.

    Knowledge is power.

In earlier days space research is limited to some scientific laboratories or institutions in the government sector. In India ISRO is the space research organisation under the central government. Slowly the government of India decided to give some works related to space research to private companies. Thus they gave technology for making rocket fuel to a company in Andhra Pradesh. That has generated a very good number of jobs and many were employed. Like this privatisation is increasing. So more jobs are coming in the private sector. Some works in their organisations are given to outside companies so that the company employees will work in their centre. So many jobs were created there.
If this process of privatisation continues worldwide definitely new jobs may come and more people will get employed. That is a good development. Even in India satellites made by private companies are launched by SHAR, and they are in space now giving information and generating data. In the coming days, we will see more and more private participation in space research work.
