    Completion of graduation degree

Hello everyone, I am student in a UGC recognized university in India. My enrollment was for the session 2019-2025. Unfortunately I could not complete my degree requirements due to backlog papers and my college refuses to give more than 4 years to complete them and earn the required credits for my degree. My registration is valid till 2025 but due to the course being of 3years i now have a gap of 2 years. Kindly let me know if there is any possible way I can complete my degree.

UGC has made some rules and regulations in this regard. All the universities and colleges having UGC recognition should follow them and any deviation may make the institute unrecognised. Your college is a recognised college and hence will follow all the guidelines. So I think you will not have any other option than following the guidelines given by the college. You can personally meet the authorities and explain to them why you are not able to clear your backlogs in time and why you are asking for additional time. If they feel that your request is genuine they may write to UGC.
As far as my knowledge goes, if you are not able to complete the course within the stipulated time, you have to take a fresh admission and redo the course. So try to complete the course within the time frame given by the college.
Still, if you want to get clarification you can write to UGC through your college.

If your registration number is valid till 2025 then you need to clear all the backlogs within it. The university will not allow to continue the course if they find that it is not possible to clear all the backlogs in the given time. You will be wasting your one year trying to complete a degree, which is already invalid.

I have seen some universities conducting special exams to help students complete their degree. You can ask the university or college officials if there is any chance for any such exams. I have seen many students complete their degree because of such special exams but it all depends on the university concerned.

Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

Generally for a 4 years course 2 extra years are given for clearing the arrears or backlog. That means that the student will have a maximum of 4+2 years in hand.
It seems due to some minimum performance issue the institute is not allowing you to continue and complete the course.
If it is as per the rules and regulations then it would be now difficult to get back in the main stream.
If you have some genuine reason for your case like death of a family member and things like that then on sympathetic grounds the administration can consider your case as an exception subject to approval by UGC. You can meet the institute authorities and get their advise in the matter.

    Knowledge is power.
