Nandini, welcome to this portal. You have posted this one liner in forum section but it would had been better if you had written a small post about your query or submission.
Anyway, you seem to have interest in writing and I would say that you have come to a right place.
I will suggest you to go through the help section as well as the pinned posts in the beginning of this forum section to get a feel of the site and guidance for contributing here.
Coming to your post I would mention that hope is something that should never be shattered. It is that invisible support on which all of us live and survive. Without hope a person would become dull and inactive.
Bad times come in our lives and everyone experiences it but it does not mean that we lose hope. We don't get success easily in our lives and have to work hard for it.
Knowledge is power.

While Dr Rao has already mentioned the important posts along with the suggestions of Umesh sir, I would like you to go through the Forum Posting Guidelines to understand things in a better way.
Take some time and let things settle a bit and then start again. We lose hope when we get depressed after a setback or when the expectations remain unfulfilled. Either you have to accept the situation and find ways to move on or you have to take the initiative to change things in your favour. In either case, you have to handle things in a cool and peaceful mind. Don't make any decision in haste and always remember that the phase in which you are in will also change. After night ends, the sun rises. Just wait for it with a strong wish. Along with the strong wish, you also have to work harder. I wish you all the best and please start contributing here to regain hope.

Welcome Nandini to this portal. Members have already given their valuable opinion above and I will like to add that this is a very good site for learning as well as practicing creative writing. If you have interest in that then you can sharpen your writing skills here.
Many members including me have learnt and have improved their writings in this site because there are so many opportunities here for contributing.
For example you can go through the information on schools, colleges, institutions, universities, etc and if you find any incorrect information then you can correct it and submit it. It will be checked by an editor for its authenticity and get published. You will be awarded points and cash credits for that. Only care you have to take is that you have to write everything in your words rather then copying and pasting from any other place in the internet or published elsewhere.
Coming to your short query I can only say that this world is a tough place and only those persons can survive who have a strong will and ambition in their hearts. Losing hope is literary the end of our lives. We can seek targets and goals only when we have hope in our hearts.
Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
