Children are growing up faster these days

When we spend some time with children, we will understand the difference in the behaviour of present-day children with children of yesteryears. These days children are growing up fast. Their maturity levels are very high. There may be many reasons for this.

Exposure to social media and communication channels makes them understand things pretty well. The changes in the family atmosphere are another reason for the same. The changing culture among the families may also be a reason for this. Children these days have more resources within their reach. There are many avenues to showcase their talent. All these put together, I feel, making them grow faster. Other members of ISC can share their views on this aspect.

There is no doubt that present day children are growing faster than the children of earlier times. I think it is a normal behaviour because seeing the facilities and resources available to the children today they must learn things quickly and grow faster.
I had my first mobile phone at the age of 50 years while the kids of today are using mobile phone for seeing the cartoons or playing some game.
Another thing that has changed from yesteryears is that today parents are giving all the facilities to children and even pampering them. Beating the children has become a thing of past. So children are growing in a much conducive and free atmosphere which is very favourable for quick growth.
It is also true that through TV and other media children today know many things which we during our childhood never knew existed in this world.

Knowledge is power.

It is an apt post reflecting the maturity - level of the kids of the present time. Such an intellectual growth was rare in the yesteryear due to the remote availability of information gadgets and media being seen these days. Parental education has a beneficial effect in moulding the behaviour of the kids. Even the parents are supportive of their kids in their learning stages - be it through class or a contemporary model.
We can see a wide departure of the behaviour of the kids from that of yesteryear due to the presence of lot of informative gadgets available currently. The kids are updating their knowledge with the available resources and hence they are much more proficient.
Apart from the points indicated above, the parents are more free with them and such an attitude of parents in the past was a rare phenomena.

In earlier times if the students achieved 75% or more in their examination then it was considered a great achievement and was known as distinction. Today the children are scoring 95% or more and there is no surprise around. Definitely today's children are far ahead of earlier times and this is the gift of scientific and technological progress in this world that has made everyone including children so well informed.
In the recent Chandrayan landing on Moon, the children in our society were much more excited than the adults and were making a good applaud when the Chandrayan landed successfully.

Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
