Poverty is a curse to humans

Poverty's impact on human life is very severe. This poverty makes people not to have essentials like food, education, shelter and even health care. Poor people may become victims of small health issues also which are easily curable. Poverty hinders the growth of an individual. Many poor people may not have a good education also due to lack of required funds. Many children from poor families for no fault of them may not get minimum facilities also to study and excel in their lives.

That is why it was told that poverty is a curse to human beings. How to eradicate this poverty so that all children will have equal facilities and opportunities? I request the opinions of members of this site.

Poverty eradication is the biggest challenge for a government today in many parts of the world. It is said that the reason of poverty is lack of employment, lack of natural resources, lack of a proper distribution system, and lack of governance in the governing body. It is not that poor people do not want to work and that's why they are poor.
There are a large number of poor people who are not getting any job to do for making a livelihood. The only thing which is available is some labour job at construction sites or big agricultural farms but for that one should be physically strong to undertake that kind of tough work.
Poverty makes a person discouraged and demotivated to a great extent. These people see all the doors of success closed to them.
Some are forced to become begger and sit outside the tourist places or religious centres hoping to get something from the visitors.
There is no point in creating less number of highly paid jobs. Instead we have to create more number of small jobs if we are really concerned to eradicate poverty.

    Knowledge is power.

There are many people in this world who are struggling day and night to come out of their poverty levels. But it is not easy to achieve that. This only can be realised by a person who is born in a poor family.
Government of different countries float various schemes for the welfare and uplifting of the poor but very few of these schemes are successful. Sometimes the middle men in the process eat out the lion's share of that help meant for poor and the poor people only remain poor.
It means that until the schemes by Government are implemented properly and fully reach the ground level, the condition of poor people would not improve.
Generation of employment in remote places, small villages, and near the settlement of poor people might help the poor to survive in this tough competitive environment.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Yes, poverty is a serious problem in any country. It is not that the people are not trying their best to come out of such a situation to get rid of the poverty stage, the irony is that they fail miserably. We have seen leaders talking about the ways to get rid of this menace including setting up tea - stalls followed by ready- made snacks in some busy areas. However, it is easy to preach to the people but such mantas are not workable to all. Moreover, if such stalls are large in number in a concentrated pocket, benefits will proportionately be disseminated to the beneficiaries.
I think the rural areas need more supplementation by way of provision of improved seeds, irrigation facilities, sanctions of loans to the needy people to set up businesses of their needs.
The poverty in the urban areas are of a different nature. The youths must be encouraged to start their own businesses with the sanctions of loans from the nationalised banks. The governmental agencies must chalk out concrete plans to reduce poverty - levels with a regular monitoring of the situation.
