Welcome back, Mamatha. There have been some changes in ISC during last 1-2 years and you can find that by going through the links as suggested by Dr Rao.
As regards to earning opportunities the main sections are Knowledge Centre, Articles, Information update, Jobs, etc. Other than that you would earn from awards also when you participate in contests. You can also get Revenue Share Bonus proportionate to your contributions in Knowledge Centre + Articles + Forum.
It is obvious that more you contribute, more you earn.
Knowledge is power.

Mamatha,
The fourth link provided by Dr Rao is not applicable now for all sections.
I would advise you to go through the red-pinned threads at the top of the forum for the latest changes in policies, namely, the expansion in forum topics, the expansion in job posting, and the changes in revenue share bonus. The first two are relevant for earnings because an expansion in topics means you have a wider range to earn in terms of AdSense for the forum and jobs, and the points accrued from the forum will be considered for the revenue share bonus. The third updated policy on RSB further explains the sections that are eligible for earnings, as stated by Umesh.
Specifically regarding earnings, just to make things clear-
There are four sources to earn- get cash credits for content in certain sections only (e.g. jobs do not get cc), get a share in the revenue share bonus, earn through AdSense ads if you have an approved AdSense account, and participate in the official contests that offer cash prizes.
Let us know if you require any further clarifications.
