The future of work: How will AI and automation transform jobs?

You might have heard about AI and automation doing more and more work. It's a big deal because it could affect the kind of jobs people do in the future. Some jobs, like working in factories or driving cars, might be done by AI instead of people. But some people think that new jobs will be created because of AI too. For example, someone has to teach and fix those AI systems, right? However, there's also a worry that only some people will get the new jobs and others will be left without work. This could make the gap between rich and poor even bigger. To make sure everyone has a fair chance, we need to think about how to help people learn new skills for the jobs of the future. Maybe we'll need new rules or programs to make sure everyone has a chance to get a good job, even with AI around. Members please share your valuable insights and perspectives.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a rapidly advancing technology that is capable of performing complex tasks and making decisions based on data and algorithms. AI has the potential to transform various industries and make our lives easier. However, it is important to note that AI cannot fully replace human intelligence. While AI systems are designed to analyze data and identify patterns, they cannot think critically, empathize, and understand complex human emotions. Therefore, it is essential to have a balance between the use of AI and human intelligence.
It is important to keep up with the latest technologies and continue learning to stay prepared for the challenges that come with the changing times. By doing so, we can harness the full potential of AI and use it to improve our lives and the world around us.

All the repetitive tasks are going to get replaced by AI in near future. There is a chance of AI matching human capability with time and might even replace everyone but that is not going to happen too soon. We are already noticing the impact of AI on software and freelance industry. IT companies are on a layoff spree and they are continuously getting rid of employees whom they can replace easily with the help of AI and automation. They are saying AI will create jobs in future but this is just way to calm people.

Humans are training these LLMs and a time will become when there will be no training need. Corporates and rich businessmen have now got a tool like ChatGPT, which can easily help them start a new business with as less employees as possible. I think jobs will not be much in future but there will be many businesses for sure because these tools will be available for everyone.

Humble yourself or life will do it for you!

In my view AI is going to create much turbulence in the job market. There are many jobs which might disappear in the fold of AI. From that point of view AI is a kind of threat to the employment in the future world.
Sophisticated computer applications coupled with precision machined are going to dominate the future as rightly shown in some science fiction stories - robots dominating the human race.

How will AI change the employment situation in the world or transform the present jobs to some new forms is a matter of great debate. I remember when computers were invented and put in use then there was hue and cry that they will replace the humans. But nothing of that sort happened. In fact a large number of Jobs created in IT and computer industry.
With the introduction of online shopping the sale of local provision shops decreased but a large number of delivery boys and other associated persons were able to earn in the new environment.
So, whenever something of that nature is introduced, initial fears are always that jobs would decrease but the true picture would emerge only after some time.

    Knowledge is power.

While there may be initial concerns about job displacement due to AI, history has repeatedly shown that innovation ultimately leads to the creation of new industries and opportunities, ensuring a dynamic and evolving job market.

I don't think the unemployment problem will become big with AI and automation. But we see a change in the types of jobs that may be available. So people should get themselves trained in such a way that these developments in technology will not bring down their chances. They should understand the future needs and should get the required skills accordingly so that they can continue their services without any problem even after the introduction of automation and AI. Routine work can be done by robots but who will create these robots? It is not a one-time job. So people who are working in some areas should get trained themselves so that nobody can beat you.
We used to see one boy in every window of the toll gate and after the introduction of Fasttag, we are not seeing boys there. we see less number of bits standing outside to attend to any issue that may raise. So man power is not completely eliminated.

Though AI tools might help in many ways but it cannot replace human intelligence. These tools are definitely helping us many ways to carry out jobs exactly, more perfection in the relevant field can be achieved with the assistance of an operator essentially the human beings. Their applications in the more complex areas are providing us with immense help such as surgery of the brain, cataract operations and many more areas where it remained a doubtful case.
The human brain has to work separately to make these tools more efficient and hence human intelligence is to perform separately. The amalgamation of AI tools coupled with human service can be the most effective service in future.
