A gentle reminder to take a break.

I completely understand how busy and demanding life can be, and it's not easy to take a break when there is so much to do. However, it's important to remember that your body and mind need time to relax and recharge.

Have you ever found yourself dozing off at work or forgetting what someone said moments ago? These are signs that you may be pushing yourself too hard.

It's okay to pause and take a moment to rest. Otherwise, your body may force you to rest at an inconvenient time or even cause illnesses that could land you in the hospital. Lack of rest not only affects your physical health but also your mental and emotional well-being.

I hope this reminder helps, and please know that taking care of yourself is not selfish. It's necessary to be the best version of yourself for you and those around you.

Taking break is a refreshing activity after which the person feels charged and rejuvenated for the next phase of work.
Some people are habitual of working for long hours and take a break after completing the task. This might look good but sometimes is detrimental to one's health.
Health experts and doctors generally advise to take breaks after every 2-3 hours so that there is no strain on the body.

Recognizing when you're feeling really tired or forgetful is important. Taking breaks and resting can stop you from getting sick or feeling stressed. The place where you work can make it easier or harder to take care of yourself. It's good to have clear rules about when to stop working and when to relax. Eating well, exercising, and spending time with friends are all part of taking care of yourself. Paying attention to how you're feeling helps you know when to take a break. Having people around who support you is really helpful when you're feeling down. Doing fun things like hobbies or just relaxing can make you feel happy. Talking openly about how you're feeling can make it easier to deal with tough times.

It is an excellent suggestion from the author. One should work hard in their life to enjoy. But if a person is also working hard only where is the time for him to enjoy. So one should have a balanced approach in life. Sometimes we will get exhausted but we may have a lot of pending work. At that moment, unless we take a break we can't continue working and even if we try to work we may not be able to concentrate. At such times, on should take a break and try to get back some energy so that after the break he can work with improved enthusiasm.
Once I and my wife went to Tirumala to have the Darshan of Balaji there. We both decided that we would use steps to go to the hill top. We started with a lot of enthusiasm and completed almost 50% of the steps. From there we were not able to move. Then we decided to take a break and sit on the steps for 10 minutes. We sat for 10 minutes restarted and completed the steps without any problem and had a blissful darshan of lors Balaji.

Most of the people are habitual of taking frequent breaks during their work. It is said to be good for our health and mind.
The problem comes when targets are fixed and there is a time limit for completing a job. For example delivering a product to the house of a consumer within the predetermined time slot. In such a situation the delivery boy is under pressure. He cannot take a break in between as that might delay him in delivering the product to the customer.
Many people are engaged in some such jobs where because of time limits taking break is not feasible.
The essence is that at least those whose job is not so demanding should take periodic breaks to remain fresh and vibrant.

Thank you for the reminder! It is crucial to prioritize self-care and recognize when our bodies and minds need rest. Ignoring signs of fatigue or stress can indeed lead to decreased productivity, impaired cognitive function, and even health issues in the long run.

Taking breaks and allowing ourselves time to recharge is not only beneficial for our physical health but also for our mental and emotional well-being. It helps prevent burnout, improves concentration and decision-making abilities, and enhances overall mood and happiness.

In today's fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and forget to prioritize self-care. Your message serves as an important reminder to pause, breathe, and take care of ourselves so that we can continue to perform at our best and be there for those around us.

Thank you for emphasizing the importance of self-care, and I hope others take your words to heart as well.

The body - system of individuals might vary in terms of stamina and vitality. However, let us not allow our bodies to cross the threshold point at which the system will likely go a breakdown.
The body - mechanism has its own system of provisions of signals. However, the signalling - system will vary from man to man. We need to hear this mechanism to keep the system in order.

I welcome the old member who has returned after a long break with a thought-provoking post. I have also read the responses from other members who have more or less supported the contention of the author of the main post.

However, my experience is different, In my case, taking rest (i.e. break) is the rule. Occasionally, between breaks, I am forced to work. That part is definitely an exception.

'Sound mind in a sound body' is the old noted phrase and this was very often asked in the examinations to elaborate with examples. The essence is that we should keep up your good spirits with different modes of relaxing and we should always draw a line between work mode and relax mode.

In his response, Partha might have replied in a lighter note, else may be his working style. But many successful people follow his 'mantra' and I too belong to the same category. Because, feeling pressure in work environment and throwing a piece of it on others would not yield any result. We should create a congenial atmosphere by taking regular breaks without affecting the work would help everyone in any organisation.

Taking a break from a job can be an ideal approach if one seems to be fatigued. It will help the body - cells to get rejuvenated. However, such a demand will vary from body to body. We come across many people working hard continuously and they boast of their stamina. We might be influenced by such people and such people become role - models for all of us.
Copying others is not a good approach. We need to hear our body - demand and maintain a balance between work and rest.
