Cricketing talent from tier 2 towns is a huge plus

The recent news that a number of recent success stories of men who have transformed themselves into promising cricketers, at least at the Ranji trophy level, are from the tier 2 and even tier 3 towns. The most well known of these at the national level, is Umesh Yadav.

This only proves that Cricket is now becoming such an important sport and since IPL is a national craze, the IPL has opened the doors for anyone to knock at the doors of the selectors, who would sit and watch the developments.

The hitherto rule of big city influence on development of the biggest cricketers has been effectively broken and it is up to the respective States to offer some support to the budding talent, particularly where the men are from poor families.

Well, the revolution seems to have just begun...

That is very true. IPL created chances for people with talent and gave a platform to young players to showcase their skills in the game. Many unknown players are coming up and proving their talent in the game. There are many players to name them.
IPL is a real success because of provides the chance to many new players who are gems in the game. Ranji Trophy matches are also good for selecting good players from their states. However, the state governments should encourage youth to get trained in this game and play for the state. The Andhra Pradesh government is not doing much for this. Hyderabad team is a good team as there are many players in this state and they have multiple avenues to get trained in this game.
BCCI is making very good money by organising cricket games in the country and it is the richest cricket association in the world I understand.

Because of the success of IPL the cricket craze in India is at the apex. The players have become celebrities and fans are following them on social media with great attention.
The young people playing cricket in the lanes of a small town are also dreaming of doing big in the arena of cricket and thanks to their sincere efforts and inclination some of them can make it to those heights.
Today, cricket is an opportunity not only for youngsters to showcase their playing talent and make a career but also for many people to seek business opportunities in it.
I wish that more and more youngsters in our country would get a chance to join this opportunity and make the Indian team the numero uno in the world.

    Knowledge is power.

If IPL is selecting the players as per their performances then the chances of selection of players even from small towns are plenty.
Today cricket is a game that is played in our country in almost every playground and if that is not available then the youngsters start playing on the roads or even in congested lanes.
We do not know from where a new cricket star would rise in such a vast country of ours.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
