Once I had similar problem and later I came to know that it was the result of accidentally clicking on the advertisements on our pages in ISC. When we are working on a mobile device then the screen space is less and many times our fingers click on the advertisements.
As per Google AdSense this is considered a violation because we are unintentionally increasing the number of clicks on the advertisement by clicking on it ourselves. Number of clicks are related to the revenue generation for the content writer.
In such cases Google suspends the account for some time, generally 1-3 months, and then activates it back.

Thanks for your response Umesh. Can you tell me how you fixed that problem? I also want to include that this may not be the problem in my case because I've been inactive for so long and have never used ISC and Adsense. This issue seems to be related to inactivity.

As far as my knowledge goes this not working will be for a specific period and it will restart on its own once the suspension time has elapsed. I have no similar experience but one of my friends told me this. In his case also this suspension problem was there. All of a sudden his AdSense account stopped working. After a month or so when he rechecked his account, it started working. He is a content writer and he has his blog. Now there is no problem and his account is working. So you can wait for a month or so and then send them an email regarding this problem so that they will guide you.

If you go through the help section in AdSense then you will get answer to many of your queries. I do not remember but there is an email also where you can send the problem faced by you to their team but that email you will only see either while going through the help section or seeing every page of AdSense meticulously while navigating in their site.
Generally these problems are sorted out by them automatically within 1 to 3 months.

Thanks members for sharing your information regarding my Adsense not working problem.
I went to Adsense profile in ISC and saw that Pending status is visible there from Google also. I think Google has put AdSense on hold due to not writing any content for a long time. Could this also be a possible problem?

It could be a reason but there must be some small traffic to your old content and in that case Adsense should not have stopped. I also had a good gap with almost zero traffic but Adsense continued.

I noticed that my Adsense publisher ID is missing from the ads.txt file on ISC, and Google AdSense indicates that the ads.txt status as unauthorized. I request the editor and website authority to check the issue. I have checked the policy center in Google Adsense and it shows there is no other issue so I think this might be the real cause.

I request the webmaster to add my Adsense publisher ID in ads.txt file as it shows unauthorised in my adsense account.
