That is how it should be

Today morning I attended a function at my relative's house. The gathering was not very high. Around 100 people gathered. The function started at 9 AM and was completed by Noon. Then lunch was organised for all.
They organised the lunch very well. It is not a Buffet lunch. Tables were arranged and meals were served by some young people in Banana leaves. They served the food in such a way that nothing would be there in the leaf after eating. No food was wasted. At the same time, all ate well. The food prepared was also sufficient and no waste was there. After the session was over no food was left in any of the vessels.
We all will be attending many functions and there we will be witnessing a lot of food waste. Even Buffet lunches also people waste a lot of food. That is not correct and no food should be wasted.

Wow, your relative's function sounds like it was a fantastic experience! It's refreshing to hear about events where every detail, even down to how the food is served, is thoughtfully planned out. Using banana leaves instead of disposable plates is not only eco-friendly but also adds a special touch to the whole dining experience. It's disheartening to see so much food go to waste at other gatherings, especially when there are simple yet effective ways to avoid it, like the method used at your relative's house. Thanks for highlighting the importance of being mindful about food waste. It's a reminder for all of us to strive for more sustainable practices, even in our celebrations.
    Regards,

    Sunil

In Indian mythology it is mentioned that food is God. So, such an importance was given to food by our ancients. But we have forgotten that mantra in our lives.
Today we are observing a lot of wastage of food in parties where people take a good quantity in their plates only to waste it. Many times the food is so oily and spicy that after a few spoons they simply leave it.
In star hotels everyday a large quantity of food is wasted. However some of them are now sending it to nearby orphanage so that it can be utilised.
The example given by the author in this post is really very impressive and we all should learn from it.
In any party people should take only that much food that they can eat. There should not be a single food grain left on the plate.

    Knowledge is power.
